Nothing is wrong at Milan..In the first 18 minutes of the Dresden game the offense only had the ball 2 minutes and only 6 minutes in the first half..hard to score if you can't get on the field...good offensive grind it out gameplan by Dresden...But Milan reacted like a good team does after the half...they dominated play in the second half and shut Dresden out in the second half..pressure defense and dominant offense won out...As for South Side they are much better than their record indicates...tough losses to JCM and Haywood, and Crockett Co.....they are big and very physical...Milan took the ball at halftime and just literally ran over Southside..Offensive line of Milan outmuscled them, and the Defense again turned up the intensity and shut Southside out......I believe that Milan has the ingrediants to do well in playoffs.

Milan is loaded and appears ready to make a run for the big one after locking up the 7-AA Region championship last week. Lots of winning tradition and only three years removed from back to back state championships. Have beaten some strong teams already this season, Union City, Martin Westview, and Huntingdon......should be interesting to watch.

They have beaten the likes of Union City, in a stadium that they hadn't been beaten in since Milan had beaten them in 1998...Martin Westview.....Huntingdon...and have clinched the Region 7-AA championship. They seem to just now have started to reach their stride...Very balanced offense.. Same coaches that were there in 1998 and 1999 that won the class AA AND THE AAA state championship games, and the staff feels that they will make a strong run with this team of mostly juniors and sophmores......

Its hard to beat a good football team when questionable call after call is made against the visiting team. Without the field position the refs gave CC this could have been very different. On the opening drive the dawgs took it to the one and the refs started their show to take them out of the game.........but having said that, the dawg defensive front couldn't get the job done up front...offensively the dawgs were really pretty efficient without the bad calls. The pass interference call against the dawgs in the endzone was a blown call that lead to a score for CC...The pass wasn't catchable by receiver or defender, should not have been called.....

Over 360 yards of offense is hardly sloppy. Toss sweep was ran very well, and passing game looked good with the exception of 3 dropped passes that absolutely should have been caught....right side of o-line is strongest, and it showed...must do better in red zone, but overall not a bad opening game...only gonna get better...
