  1. He met a girl in Lebanon, and got married and is now living in Kentucky. Not going to school anywhere. That was as of a month ago.......
  2. Seems to me that Milan has beaten Huntingdon the same amount of times the past two seasons....when Huntingdon has FOUR ..not 1...state championships...then I will start taking Huntingdon a little more serious..and then, maybe a little respect..not until then.
  3. Galilee, can you give approximate directions for coming into memphis on I-40?? I'm not familiar with where Freeman field is....thanks.
  4. HATE TO DAMPEN YOUR SPIRITS, BUT Milan IS STILL IN THE REGION, AND ARE NOT DOWN THIS SEASON.........JUST RE-LOADED........THEY WILL STILL BE THE TEAM TO BEAT...BUT I HOPE Dresden DOES HAVE A GOOD SEASON.
  5. CLASS 2-AA MILAN BULLDOGS 2003 SEASON 13-1 RECORD WAS 13-0 GOING INTO THE SEMIFINAL GAME AT HUNTINGDON...NO DOUBT WHOEVER WON THIS GAME WOULD BE THE STATE CHAM[/color]P.
  6. DCW, I'm not a kid, and don't really like the tone you are throwing out at the Milan fans posting.....but just everyone chill about the sorry excuse for traffic control after the game at Huntingdon.....because Friday nite there shouldn't be any traffic problems at all, because most of the Milan fans will be on the field celebrating the big victory with the Bulldog players, and talking about the trip to Murfreesboro...and by the time we are finished celebrating, most of the traffic problems will be gone.....Milan 38 Huntingdon 7.......the mustangs did improve since the Oct. 10 game.......this time they will get the extra point.
  7. Turbo, I guess its time for me to call you out and set the record straight...First thing up...when a team outrushes another, 293 to 143....trust me..the 143 was not more physical.....Milans O-line pounded the mustangs on October 10th, and will pound them again....several talked about how "soft" Mr. Nellet was...they were really shocked that he was that soft.....Milan had 70 yards in penalties...a touchdown ruled not a touchdown, a 40 yard pass completion on the sideline ruled out of bounds, and you know what........Milan won 24 to 6......what happened to that almighty Mustang offense that loved to run up the score on everyone else that they played?? So, dont even talk about who was the most physical.....It wasn't close then, and don't expect it to be any different......and on your argument with WESTTENN2004STATE about Bell being better than Rod Smith.....remember this in life....because it won't change.....a good big man, beats a good little man, every time.....oh yeah, the score will be Milan 38 Huntingdon 7
  8. After watching the October 10th game, I made two conclusions at the beginning of the fourth quarter.......one...that Milan could literally line up and run over and through Huntingdon, and never have to throw a pass.....and two....Huntingdon is much too one dimensional to be able to challenge Milan...... My pick......Milan 38 Huntingdon 7
  9. I've seen the Diaz kid kick, and he is good....but Friday nite sealed the deal for me after seeing Sam Sullivan go 7-7 on PAT's and kick the 42 yarder and having it nullified and backing up to the 47 and absolutely drilling that one....and time after time kicking either into the end zone or right at the endzone, not allowing Dresden any field position at all.......I couldn't order a kicker online to do any more than he has done....He only gives Milan another weapon for playoff time.....and one more problem for opposing teams to worry about.
  10. Milan will win this one 42-7.....toooo much offense.....and tooo much defense. I am aware that Covington is labeled a speed team....but Milan is SPEED AND POWER.
  11. I would also give kudos to the Dresden team and that huge crowd that they brought with them to Johnnie Hale Stadium Friday nite....That is what makes Friday night high school football so excititing. And yes, Milan is blessed at having an assortment of weapons that they can use on offense to beat you....and not being one dimensional like most of the teams we have seen this season...the first team defense holding a team as strong as Dresden to only 6 points, speaks for itself..
  12. PURPLETROCK can speak for himself.....Mitchell has had one good season in how many years??? And don't mistake arrogance, when it is really just confidence... This is a special Milan team, that may or may not, go all the way......but they are very, very good.....and yes, they could beat Mitchell 19 out of 20 games....but, talk is cheap, and hopefully we will get a chance to meet again and settle it on the field.....and this time on a field, and not a pasture.
  13. TURBO......COME OUT, COME OUT , WHEREVER YOU ARE....... NOW, WHO IS THE BEST IN THE WEST????? Say this real slow...MI-LAN..
  14. Milan knows this is for the REGION 7-AA CROWN....It will be over at halftime..... Milan 48-10.......and it may not be that close......sorry Dresden.....but you did have a nice season.
  15. Nothing would suit Milan more, than getting to wax the field with Mitchell... It won't be pretty, so leave the kids at home......No, only kidding sortof..... If Milan played Mitchell 20 times, they would win 19.....Milans offense scores at will, and the defense is much better than last years defense.....Dresden will not be a factor at all Friday nite.....my prediction.....47-10......
  16. You can compare the 99 team, but not the 71 team....running backs today would have been linemen in 71....I know...I graduated in 1971...you have linemen today that run as fast as the running backs of 1971....I know SLS that you were on the 71 team and thanks for your contribution for helping bring Milan a championship; but get real when comparing athletes of the seventies, against the athletes today. Coach Jackson will tell you that this years team is the strongest (strength wise) than the 99 team, and several 4.5 to 4.7 40 guys.....But having said all this, unless we win the championship.......we will be remembered as just another very good Milan team.....
  17. I'm glad you cleared that up for sls, about the number of players that play both ways for the Bulldogs.....only two, sls, only two...Rod and Daylan....toward the end of the drive in the third quarter by JCM they moved Micah to tackle and put Ricky Goff in at defensive end.......and they stopped them at the two yard line...very impressive....
  18. Snakeshot 2000 you must have been watching from very far away...I was on the sideline and it really wasn't close at all...even Mayfield said so (just go to Mayfieldfootball.com) They said it was bad....and it really was..
  19. Milans first team offense looked very impressive as they scored on each possession that they went out on the field...in fact, they had just gotten a first down and kicked a field goal rather than punch it on in for another touchdown. Passed at will against the Crockett DB's, and the Milan O-line shoved Crockett any way they wanted to...defensively, take away two long runs from scrimmage and Crockett would have never scored...they could not put any drives together at all. Overall, Milan was very impressive...
  20. Overall I would give Milans defense a "B" rating against Mayfield...a few times Mayfield got the ball back in good field position and Milan held...with the exception of one long play, they did their job...Mayfield has a guy named Micah Jones on the offensive line (RT) , and rotates in on defense at tackle that is 6-5 330 and runs a 5.1 40......he is rated in the Sporting News top 100 and Rivals 100 recruiting...Being recruited by Tennessee, Michigan, Louisville, Kentucky , and Arkansas......this was not a scrimmage against a "down" Mayfield team....Last season (15-0), they defeated Paducah Tilghman (that defeated Union City in the first game of season), that has no fewer than 4 guys on this years team that are legitimate Division 1A prospects.....Mayfield passing defense was not bad, but Daylan Walker had too much speed for them.....
  21. Milan used an impressive mix of running and passing to beat the Kentucky defending state champs. George West was impressive throwing to Daylan Walker, and the running of Rod Smith and FB Ricky Goff was very effective ...the Milan offensive line was blowing people off the line, and had excellent pass protection for West......the defense kept the pressure on Mayfield, and with the exception of one long play, completely shut them down.......
  22. Milan vs Mayfield, ky. Milan won 24-7 over Mayfield, the defending Ky. state champions.....it was a very impressive mix of running and passing by Milan....
  23. I wrote that down turbo, and will remind you of it at Clinic Bowl time..... I concur that Milan will soundly beat Westview this year. They are the real deal.

The Bulldogs were very sluggish on defense and struggled on offense...just didn't seem to be into the flow....lots of sophmores played, but the first team offense seemed to have trouble with the Huge Haywood County defensive front.....The Dawgs will not see another team this season with the physical strength and speed of Haywood.....Look for Haywood to have another outstanding season, and look for Milan to make the necessary adjustsments,(just like they did last year), and get the job done.......It was a strange scrimmage...6 plays and out.....regardless of where you were or what had happened.....Milan just couldn't get in the flow.....
  25. Check out Milan's OL Ryan Barnes.....6-2 245 LBS He is a three year starter, and very good..............
