  1. Let's see here. Once again, people on this board LOVE to live in the past. It's the only thing you people can hold onto when your team starts to take a spill. I have never nor will I ever (unless asked about it) refer to the past of MJ, because trust me, MJ has had their seasons, just like every other football program. But with that aside, the only thing that ever really matters on this board is what is happening THIS SEASON, unless people are reminiscing (as we all love to do). But to refer to the past as to how "good" a team is THIS YEAR, is, as I have said before, inconceivable. And to say MJ is doing poorly is rediculous. MJ is 3-3 overall and 2-1 in their region. And as I ALSO have class, I wish all teams in TN good luck this year no matter what. The thing that I found amusing is how region4fan was celebrating a win over a 1-win team thats all.
  2. Why can't I start a poll on the Football Board?
  3. Congratulations to the Oakland Patriots! You beat another "SUPERIOR" team in the Blackman Blaze. Wow, these guys were like unbeaten for a while this year weren't they? Yeah until the end of their first game. But let me tell ya, they did beat a FIERCE Siegel team. Congrats on your beating another "Top Team".
  4. Pearl Cohn Rossview White House Stratford Mount Juliet (hopefully)
  5. That a way Bama. Roll Tide Roll, Around the Bowl and Down the Hole. HAHAHAHAHAHA. GO BIG ORANGE!!!
  6. I disagree. I think the objective on CERTAIN plays is sometimes to only get the ball down the field and get out of bounds OR get the first down on whatever down and short yardage. Now any other play is most sometimes to score, but not always. Also sometimes a team is trying to just run the clock out. Just a thought......
  7. Riverdale- a whole bunch Siegel- not enough Blackman- 21 Oakland-35 Lebanon- 42 Lavergne- 14 Wilson Central- 4,567 Smyrna- (-45) (just kidding) WC- 0 Smyrna- 28 Bonus Games Germantown Houston Gallatin
  8. Well, if Lincoln County were to play Wilson Central, they might not end their season undefeated, I mean, Central is on a roll. I guess Lincoln County is too scared of WC. I would be if I were them.
  9. No offense Central, but, you will have to be beating the likes of Lebanon, Oakland, RIVERDALE, and Smyrna before anyone gives you any respect, believe me, it WILL happen in the future years as you have a good program working its way up. But it won't happen this year. MJ never beat any of these teams, and never got any respect in the past 4 years. The only team they did beat was Lebanon, and only came close to putting down Lavergne. The closest MJ got to respect was when they scored the most points any team had scored on Riverdale during the 2001 season. So best of luck to ya in the rest of the season.
  10. Yeah I heard Oakland played like the OK team they are......
  11. Wilson Central Wildats: Congratulations. Now, get back on the practice field Monday and get ready for Smyrna. They will be hot after their loss to Brentwood. They may very well be out for blood, literally. And although some peple think Sigel ill be an automatic win, do not speak too fast. Look at the MJ Lebanon game, SOME, NOT ALL, thought MJ would automatically win this one and look what happens, the Bears don't show up. Never think a game is automatic. ANYTHING can happen. Congrats to Central, enjoy it and get ready for the rest of th season.
  12. Just one more thing, we do not schedule Wilson Central for an easy win. We schedule Wilson Central because we want to play the school that ripped our team apart. Not for an easy win. And I haven't bragged that MJ is great this year. Another thing is you may have beaten them by more this year, but face it, anyone can beat them by that much, I guess Oakland felt they had to prove something after losing to Franklin. But I will also tell you that I want Oakland to beat Lincoln County because I have never really liked them, but I did pick them to win because they are the BETTER team. I try to be unbiased in my posts, and even though I may get hyped up, the only reason I say MJ will win, is because I believe they are the better team, I was saying Central looked to be the better team the week MJ played them. You my friend believe that Oakland is godlike or soemthing. Not uncharacteristic of the folk over in the borro.
  13. Wolke doesn't deserve Mr. Football. No class at all...........
  14. region4fan, who has Oakland beaten this year? Lavergne and Wilson Central. So to say Oakland is OK this year is accurate. Last year is last year. Why do people live in the past on whether or not a team will be any good the present year?? I've seen teams go 2-8 one year and go 7-4 the next with a playoff berth in the same region. The current year is the only one that matters. So to claim that Oakland is good this year because they laid a "beating" on MJ last year is completely inconceivable! Franklin has beaten a winless team, a team with one win, and 2 teams with 2 wins, one being Oakland. Who has Lavergne beaten? My point exactly Cumberland County and Siegel, Cumberland Co. who barely beat the Wildcats, and Siegel who is also winless. Wilson Central still winless gets shutout by Oakland and you said it yourself, Oakland still could've put more points on the board. So is Oakland OK this year? YES. Wouldn't you rather be OK than BAD? I will say this though, I've seen better Oakland teams in the past so they should be good this year. Good luck this week though, I'd like to see Lincoln County knocked off.
  15. No contest, Coffee County in WCs 3rd straight shutout. 42-0
  16. You actually believe Lebanon will win? Here's the deal. Let's go back to September 5, 2003. Wilson Central vs. Lebanon. Central was the better team. Bar none. I was there, I saw it with my own two eyes. Who cares about the scoreboard and stats now? Central should have won. But, being a team prone to choking in the endzone (Chris Brown intercepted in 2001 by Michael Sanders), fumble in the endzone and give up six. Now, here's my theory again. Central instead goes down in the endzone to give up the safety. Only 2 points given to Lebanon. Score, 19-14 Lebanon. Granted, though, Lebanon gets the ball. I say Central would have stopped them as they were playing Lebanon well. Central gets the ball back, and scores. Score, 21-19. At this point no one knows what would have happened next, but I am sure Central could have pulled this one off (I mean, come on, they are tired of losing). Actual score at the end of the game, 24-21 Lebanon. Lebanon got lucky and they know it. But everyone knows it only takes one busted play to determine a game, and in this case it went Lebanon's way. Now, Wilson Central travels to MJ. Shutout/Blowout. 27-0 Mount Juliet. Central says they play as good as the other team they are playing, and in that case they claim MJ is the worst team they play (actual words from a student in the football progam at Central). And that is the reason they played bad is their argument/excuse. My case is they go to Oakland the next week. Let's look at this one for a second. Oakland is an OK team this year. Shutout/Blowout 34-0 Oakland. Now, if this playing as good as the other team claim is true, then Oakland must be pretty sorry. Other students claim that Central just had abad night at Mount Juliet. Well, I guess they had a bad night at Oakland too. REALITY CHECK: Even good teams that have a bad night even end up scoring. 2 shutouts in a row? Give me a break! Central is not as good as Gladeville thinks they are. When you get shutout, either A. You're really bad or B. The other team is really good. Finally, Mount Juliet has hosted 10 quarters of shutouts. Reminder: MJ shutout Pearl-Cohn in the last 2 quarters of play. And has yet to be scored on. Am I guaranteeing another shutout, no. But I am saying that most likely, MJ will win this game, by a lot. Lebanon could have lost to Central. MJ didnt even come close to losing to Central. But it's not up to us to decide who wins, it's up to the players. God bless everyone, and may they all play injury free. Good luck to both teams. GO BEARS!!

  18. As we have all witnessed, both Mount Juliet and Lebanon have defeated Wilson Central. But something is different this year when the Bears travel to Lebanon to take on the Blue Devils. Mount Juliet has beaten somebody other than Wilson Central and Lebanon has not. The past two years Lebanon had won more than 1 game before taking on the Bears and the Bears had only beaten Central. Lebanon barely defeating the Wildcats in week 2 followed by Mount Juliet shutting out Wilson Central says only one thing: Mount Juliet vs. Lebanon is bound to be a game to see no matter what team you're for. The annual "Wilson County Championship" takes place at Lebanon High School Friday September 26. Kickoff at 7:30. Any predictions????? My guess is MJ by 10.
  19. I will have to say Mount Juliet by at least 10 on this one. Lebanon always plays them hard, but I believe the Bears are out for blood after last years game when they were screwed by the refs on the "pass beyond the line of scrimmage" that cost the Bears the game. Im sure Crawford will be requesting not to have that ref for this game, or any other game for that matter.
  20. Mount Juliet and Lebanon has always been and always will be a very very heated rivalry. This is the game when both teams shine and give their all no matter how good or bad their season is going. One thing is for sure, Michael Jasper (the "monstrous" ex-kicker) is sure to knock the fear of God into some of those Devils on Friday night. Best of luck to both teams, and may GOD bless all teams that play on Friday nights! Who has predictions on this game???
  21. After shutting out the WildCats of Wilson Central, can Mt. Juliet capitalize on their momentum of one win to beat the Jackets of Springfield? Friday September 19, we will find out. Any predictions on this game?
  22. Well the dust has settled and the streak for Wilson Central continues. Mount Juliet blows them out of the water and out of the dream that they would beat MJ. Chris Humes with 23 carries had 158 yards as Central throughout the week boasted that they would hold Humes to under 50 yards. WAKE UP GLADEVILLE HIGH!! The better team is clearly Mount Juliet. WC by 15, gimme a break! I was even giving them too much credit, predicting a MJ 35-34 win over the fearless wildcats. Mount Juliet 27 Wilson Central NOTHING
  23. Here's my 2 cents for gameday. MJ 35 WC 34 Gonna be an exciting game with standing room only, so come early.
