  1. Be careful what you wish for.......BOOHOOHOO!! When Shelbyville gets back on track, they should be there, but until then, too bad so sad. Also about Fuller being out, if she is the only player that can lead a team to victory, Shelbyville has a long road ahead of them ever game she is out, she must be a godess or something. Fuller must be the best basketball player since Michael Jordan......give me a break.....
  2. You shouldn't care what the people on CoachT are ranking Fulton. It doesn't matter what they think. This is a website of fans of football. The only thing that matters is who has the Golden Ball. Obviously we know who that is. So forget about what the people on here are ranking Fulton. Let the teams prove who is in the top 10 or 20 in the state, by playing on the field. Do you think it matters what the people on these message boards rank a high school football team? The boys out there playing and practicing their butts off prove to themselves and the state who is tops. Congrats to Fulton, I was talking to one of the managers of Fulton after the championship game last year (Chris Vincent) and he guaranteed me that Fulton would be back in that game this year and they would win it this time. Looks like he was right. I knew they would do it this year.
  3. Some people just can't be satisfied...........
  4. I hate when people blame losing a game on the refs......................... Great teams overcome things like that.....................
  5. Hopefully Mt. Juliet can do great this year. I know they lost only I think 3 players, Lauren Hudson, Christy Welch, and Starr Gillespie. Someone correct me if I am wrong on this....but I also heard Coach Friar would only have 7 varsity players and is dressing the Freshman squad. As for the rest of the district, who knows?
  6. I agree, I think we all know that we will never reacha solution on this topic, so it is best that it is closed.
  7. Oh yeah!! "Do You Call My Name" is awesome. I've actually heard that song at one or two of MJ's games. It has an awesome riff in it.
  8. I can put up with girls dancing. Put running their hands through their crotches and grabbing their breasts is a little too far. The fans outside the fence were adults, not teenagers and kids. Somebody needs to teach these inner city schools some manners. Really, why can't everybody be civil?
  9. Well, mj, I just checked WILSON COUNTY'S (THAT MEANS ALL COUNTY SCHOOLS) CODE OF CONDUCT. It says for "Stolen Property (stealing, possession of) 1st Offense: 3 Days OSS 2nd Offense: 5 Days OSS 3rd Offense: OSS & Discipline Committee." What do these players get? A slap on the wrist. Injustice in the school systems? You betcha.
  10. I wasn't going to say anything about this game, but I changed my mind. The night started off on the drive over, but went downhill upon arrival. 1. $2.00 to PARK 2. $6.00 ADMISSION (I have never seen a regular season game cost more than $5.00. 3. As soon as I get in the gate, I hear F-Bombs, G-D Bombs, you name it, I heard it within 30 seconds of walking in. 4. The Band would not shutup. And they played some God Awful songs. Not to mention the dancers. They seriously looked like they were stripping, but leaving the clothes on. 5. The PA fellow. Has to be the most ignorant person I have ever witnessed in public. Would not shut up when the ball was in play. Complained to the REFS over the PA. Even encouraged the crowd to BOO when MJ did something good. Pure ignorance. 6. The Stratford fan base. MJ seriously had at least a 2-1 ratio on them. What's sad is there were people standing outside the stadium to watch the game because they probably couldn't afford to pay $6 to get in the gate, I know I barely got in, cause I only bring what I think will be enough money to go to the game, get in, buy something to eat, and leave. Well needless to say, I didn't get to eat. It was Senior Night, and MJ outnumbered the Stratford fans. Pitiful. Does this have to do with why MJ lost, Lord NO. It does have to do with it was the worst atmosphere I have ever been in in a very long while. I will not go back to Stratford for a long time. Well there's my tangent, I'll shut up now.
  11. Looks like the Cobras shut you up.
  12. Wow, half a game. That is really teaching these players something. I just lost any and that means very little, respect for Lebanon's players, coaches, and administration. Shame on you! To Coach Brown, any respectable coach would have kicked the players off the team and never looked back. What do you do? You sit them out half a game. You must be desperate to win to degrade yourself and your team with thieves. Shame on the players to not go to the coach and stand up for what is right and saywe don't want these thieves on our team. Shame on the administration for not suspending these players on game day so they wouldn't be able to play. LEBANON HIGH SCHOOL WILL FOREVER BE REMEMBERED AS THE SCHOOL THAT ENCOURAGED STUDENTS TO STEAL OTHER PEOPLE'S PROPERTY IN MY BOOK.
  13. According to www.law.com's Law Dictionary, Theft is synonymous with Larceny. Larceny is defined as follows, and I quote: larceny n. the crime of taking the goods of another person without permission (usually secretly), with the intent of keeping them. It is one form of theft. Was this a crime, according to the law it is. According to the Bible it is a sin. Accoridng to me, it is both. Get real folks. Crime is crime. Let's say NO to crime! If the assailants broke into the locker room from which they stole the helmets, then that is, my friends, burglary. Burglary is defined as follows, I quote. burglary n. the crime of breaking and entering into a structure for the purpose of committing a crime. No great force is needed (pushing open a door or slipping through an open window is sufficient) if the entry is unauthorized. Contrary to common belief, a burglary is not necessarily for theft. Not only by law could they be charged with larceny, they could also be charged with burglary, IF, and I mean IF (as in I do not know if they broke in) they broke into the locker rooms from which they stole the helmets. Thank you for your time, and good day.
  14. The time is now for us to take a stand and stop condoning crime!! Who's with me??!! To all of the liberal crime condoners out there, YOU NEED TO LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, I WOULD GUARANTEE YOU THAT IF ANYONE TOOK ANYTHING FROM YOU AS A PRANK THAT YOU WOULD BE VERY UPSET, IM TALKING SOMETHING FROM YOU THAT YOU PAYED SOME BIG MONEY FOR. HELMETS COST A PRETTY GOOD AMOUNT IF YOU ASK ME. You need to check yourself the next time you condone crime. Maybe that's why so many people are thieves, because we have these knuckleheads out there condoning crime.
  15. TSSAA screwed Gallatin, now we screw the TSSAA..............and McGavock
  16. Yes it is a part of school athletics. It has been a part of school athletics for years now. Does that justify it?? Does that make it OK to go out and steal these things. What about the kids that look up to these players on Friday nights? Believe me, I have seen these children at the football games on Fridays. I have seen some children aska player for his autograph. When a kid sees a player that he or she looks up to stealing something and getting nothing but a mere slap on the wrist, that child is going to think to themself, "Self, I believe it is OK take things that don't belong to me, and even if I get caught, all I get is slap on the wrist." Think about the children that these players are influencing. Do you want your child to be encouraged to steal things?? If you do, you are a very bad parent. Where is the love? Yes, pranks and stealing are a part of high school sports, I am ashamed to say. A part that can be deterred by setting a precedent and letting players and students know that they will be punished for the CRIME that they commit.
  17. Amen region4fan, and I appreciate the compliments about my parenting. I try to teach my kid good morals and lead him in the life that Jesus would want him to live. We need to start teaching kids to do the right thing. Not do what's wrong and all you have to do is sit out a football and write an apology.
  18. TSSAA should grow some cajones and admit they are wrong. They said he was eligible 2 times. Gallatin even sits him out until they were absolutely sure. TSSAA rendered a decision twice and it was the same decision, so they should not reverse it and set a precedent that says they can declare a player eligible and then 8 weeks into the season reverse it.
  19. jacketpride, no I do not work for UPS and I wasn't checking out your package.
  20. I just want to say thank you to region4fan for agreeing with me on this subject, and hopefully we can put all past disputes behind us.
  21. Yes a prank call is punishable by law. But could it be punishable if no one notifies the police. I don't think the person being pranked on a phonecall will call the police unless it is threatening and they have no clue of who is calling. Usually when I prank call someone, they figure its me and start dying laughing. No I also don't believe the players would sell the helmets for drugs and fund terrorists. The fact of the matter is, they didn't steal these helmets with the intent of going to the school and giving them back and seeing the other teams' coaches laugh histerically about it. If they did, they should be checked for mental competency. In other words, no coach is going to laugh about some equipment being stolen from his school.
  22. Year 2000, Mount Juliet @ Cookeville. Battle for the playoffs. MJ's locker is broken into and numerous players' property was stolen. I'm talking cellphones, money, CDs, CD Players, watches, necklaces, anything these THIEVES could get their hands on. What happened you ask?? COOKEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL PAID EVERY BIT OF WHAT WAS STOLEN BACK TO THESE PLAYERS. EVEN A $10 CHECK WAS SENT FOR A NECKLACE. I will have to say that I respect the administration at this school. They took a stand, and did what was right. I am also confident that they took care of whoever was responsible for these actions. I also believe the police were involved with helping MJ out in any way they could. SO I believed a precedent has been set. Let's follow it!
