Who is the favorite in this Valley-City district? Isn't Grundy suppose to to be loaded along with East Ridge? What about Marion with the new coaches who use to be at Grundy in the late 80's and 90's. Should be a very tough District. Who won the tourn. last year? Hixson????

How are the Rebels gonna be this year? Has Coach King got them ready for a region run? How will the finishing order be in that district? Good luck Coach King!

Does anyone know if Gerald Riggs is in Spring Practice for the Vols. Questions concerning his absence from the bowl game last year have me wondering.

First of all, I'd like to know who he ran off? Secondly, he is a very diciplined oriented coach that doesn't put up with player problems. You know going in what is expected, if your not in then get out. High school sports aren't for everyone. The fun stuff ends with little league. Sports at the Highschool level is about character, self-dicipline, and commitment. Coach King is a tough coach, those types are gonna ruffle feathers because they do what they think is right regardless of who you are or who your parents are!

Couldn't agree more with you wardawg. I also know Coach B. All the things you said are true. There is know question more discipline exists on the GC team now but as for comparing the two situations from the Coach B days and even Coach P days to Now with Coach C is tough. I've heard coaches who were at GC with the other head coaches, who is there now say this team has the most talent he has ever seen at GC. So are they better coached, better coaches, better players, more disciplined or a little of all? Who really knows. All you can do is compare perception which is only opinion. All the coaches are quality people, so lets leave it at that. I will say the way Coach B and for that matter Coach P was handled was not appropriate. Coach C being hired had a lot to do with both leaving. (CoachP 99.9% he's coming) Those of you who follow GC football know what I mean. That's in the past just making a point about the political end of it.

I saw in an earlier post Breeden was leaving at the end of year. Is that official? Also, has Mike Brown's(Grundy) name came up as a replacement?

i understand the topic of feeder programs but people need to look a little deeper as to why kids won't come out and play for Breeden. From what the kids say, unless things have changed, the 5 hour practices and the attitude the coaches have about players that choose not to play, plays a big role in numbers. With a school the size of CC they should at least have 60 kids out!

Is Grundy for real? Is Seq. Co. that bad? Has Colquette revived a program or just in weak region? And just has the best winning % at Grundy Co.?

Binns, This has nothing to do with the post but thought you might know this question. Do you know of any fall baseball leagues in this area for 12-16 yr. olds?
