Lawrence Co 2 Lincoln Co 1 Ben Lowery got the win giving up 4 hits. Derek Douglas got the loss only giving up 2 hits. A real pitcher's duel. Lincoln scored in the 1st on a leadoff walk, stolen base, sacrifice bunt and scored on a ground out. Lawrence Co scored 2 in the 5th. Russ Moore got a single, pinch runner Brian exum stole 2nd. Matt Moss reached on a K on base. Blackwood walked to load the bases. Exum scored on a passed ball to tie it and Moss scored on Hutton's sac fly. Lawrence is now 2-2 in the District and Lincoln is 1-3

only one player made it from the district champs, lawrence county, and that was the MVP, shows that they get a lot of respect!!

I think that Lawrence County will definitely be in the hunt for 1st and they will definitely be in the top 3. They only lost three players last year and they have eight seniors this year. They should be in contention at least.

I believe that it is obvious that Tyler Smith had more talent and potential by tons than anyone on that court. It was also obvious that Tyler was the laziest person on the court. If he wanted to he could score 30 points a night and 10 rebounds. But he just seems to not care. Also, Billy Holt has to be the worst coach to ever win a state title. He has no gameplan other than a little bit of streetball. He also has ZERO class. Whenever Giles County plays anyone near their talent level, they will get beat.

it was definitely the worst officiating i've ever seen. there were 49 seconds left and shelbyville had the ball on their own 30 yd line. They got called for a false start on first down and after that the officials started the clock which was ridiculous. Then LCHS called a timeout. Next play Shelbyville fumbles, in the dogpile the refs never stop the clock and about 15 more seconds run off. LCHS takes another timeout. There are 10 seconds left on teh clock. Shelbyville ran two plays, LCHS called two timeouts, and 39 seconds ran off the clock. It was pathetic. I just hate to see a game that is taken over by the officials or in this case the clock keeper!

i never said anything about the team winning region, i said that mansfield and cheatwood will finish above pettit in the tournament.

Phillip who?????? thats right. mansfield and cheatwood from lawrence county are going to show you who your daddy is in the region tournament and the state tournament too. You better just hope you come in third place.

one thing to remember about clarksville! they aren't goin to get to play because of their budget.

you all better watch out for lawrence county. the wildcats are gonna be unbelievable. anytime you have rhett cheatwood and brett mansfield on the same team, that deserves a top ten vote.

I think Columbia will win this game. Columbia has been killing the ball here in the past 3-4 weeks. And with Gray on the mound, if he is around the plate, they'll be in business.

I think that the Tennesseean does a find job covering soccer. If you want someone to cover soccer more, move to brazil or france or some other foreign country. American newspapers will cover american sports such as baseball and football.
