  1. 2 quick things.....1-His appeal didn't go through, but he did get it in the publics hands and minds that the USJ coaches went with the "political" choice to play the coaches son at quarterback, which might have been a bigger reason for them appealing ..... 2-Is he allowed to play in the JV games and how is he doing their if he is allowed to play?
  2. Wouldn't be surprised if it came from another regional opponent that would like to see CC lose. We already know the response will be "We don't care about this game", but you sure spend a lot of time on the CC forums trying to run us in the ground. (ex. Starting a thread about the dogs growling (Milan) at CC) Why would another team start this topic unless it was to start something and sit back and watch. Which is what happened on this thread. Not a CC poster, even though Obion supposrters might think it is.
  3. I agree! Well said Crocketfan....I never had a reason to dislike Dyersburg, actually wanted them to do well, but this high school fan is putting a sour taste in my mouth. Milan fans, understand there is respect for your team and program....this thread was started by a Dyersburg fan....be careful traveling over and may the boys be free from injury and entertain us all with great play!
  4. The Jackson Sun is smarter than we all give them credit for. Why would they put D'burg #1 when they knew they would only get to play 11 games?!?
  5. Crockett County 28 Milan 17 Not long til kickoff!!
  6. That was not Whitby....He was on the sideline last night with an injury to the collarbone...it's not a break, but ligament damage around the collar bone.....#16 was Drew Speaker who is a freshman, which is why he wasn't on the program
  7. Obion offense looked good. QB looked very good. I was impressed with the Obion Offense. Ripley looked way down. Huntingdon was a typically good Huntingdon team. Bruceton will be solid in 1A. I thought we (Crockett) did well. We had a lot of weapons on the field. If we can stay healthy, it could be fun to watch.
  8. Softball Game with low scoring (usually in the state tourney) is about 1 hr. 15 min. long. Baseball Game with low scoring is still aroung 2 1/2 hours. Math.....Get 2 games in softball to 1 in baseball. And lets not forget, more teams in the tourney, more $$$$$$$ Pitching Rest + Time of games = More Softball teams = MORE $$$$
  9. Craig Massey - SS - Crockett County
  10. You meant to say, "If I am NOT mistaken" I did give GC credit, and Copley a lot of credit. No one thought this would happen and it did. If the tournament would have not been played, then everyone would have put Dyer Co. and Milan in the region. Neither made it. Congrats to GC. I think Milan would say Chris White was their #2 after J. White and when he went down, C. White was the #1. But you beat everyone, no matter who pitched. Congratualtions!
  11. Copley is the real deal. He gives them a chance every time he is on the mound. He is good!! They got hot at the right time, and took advantage of a weird situation. They won the district without facing anyones ace. Crockett threw Davis(not Campbell), Milan threw Mallard(not C. White or J. White who has been out for weeks) and Dyersburg threw Smith and Lewis. Just one of those things. And they took full advantage to win the District!

    13AA scores

http://www.ucgreyhounds.com/2006%20Distric...0Tournament.htm Website to the whole tournament! Website reports: Crockett Co. 3 Dyer Co. 1 Dyer Co. eliminated Gibson Co. 1 Dyersburg 0 Crockett and Dyersburg play tomorrow. Loser ends season, winner moves on to regionals, but has to beat GC twice to host.
  13. http://www.ucgreyhounds.com/2006%20Distric...0Tournament.htm Link to District 13AA information!!! I found the answer on this page also, Hicks pitched for DC according to the Box Scores and Pate for Westview.
  14. Cupples pitch for Dyer Co.? Did Pate pitch for Westview?
  15. Yes, CC Won. I'm not sure what the tie breaker is this year, but in years past it has been the SEC rule first. SEC rule is quality wins. A quality win would be which team beat the highest seed more times. If there is a tie and one of the two tied teams swept the other, then the team that swept gets the higher seed. But, if for instance the #3 and #4 seeds are tied, and they split there season games, and the margin of victory is the same, then you would see if either beat the #1 seed. If one of them did, then they win the tie breaker. If both beat the #1 seed or neither beat the #1 seed, then you would drop to the #2 seed next, then #5 and and so on. A coin flip was always last, but I am not sure how they will do it this year, with new teams in the district. In the Milan - D-burg case, if both finished with the same record, the same margin of victory, then you would see which one beat the #3 seed the most times. If it is still tied, you would go to #4 and so on. If nothing breaks the tie all the way down to #7, then you flip. This gives the team with a "quality" win over a higher seed, the advantage, which is better than a flip or runs allowed (in my opinion).

    Fair or Foul

How many of you have seen a bunt "hug" the line for a basehit. If it were based on where the feet of the fielder was at when the ball is touched, then every drag bunt would be foul. Because we would teach the third baseman to run to foul territory and reach out to field the ball!
  17. Jackson Christian is rollin' pretty good. They have a solid pitching staff, but nothing overpowering, but can hit the ball well and put runs on the board. Crockett County has struggled lately through district games. Lost 4 in a row by a total of 5 runs!!! Crockett has 1 senior and rely on 4-6 sophomore's in the lineup on any given day. Hope that helps.
  18. I have no idea who you are talking about or what incident you are talking about, but I do know that if an official turns in his report and puts a check mark by the words "unsportsman like", then it can NOT be appealed. Therefore, an official has more authority than any form of government or school official. The board of controls at the T$$AA will not allow it to be appealed. You can bring a gun to school and still have a chance to appeal the decisionof the school administrator to expell you. But an official can jump the gun on a call and check "unsportsman like" and the you have NO CHANCE of having your side heard by a board of appeals.
  19. Why was poll question closed about Lexington-Lipscomb-Crockett-Covington going to the state finals? Just doesn't make sense. Can someone tell me who closed it and why?
  20. Doesn't look like the Covington/Crockett game matters much. Lexington/Lipscomb winner will be at the Boro. (It is being scientifically proven ) Vote if you haven't!
  21. Thanks! He is right, football seems like the only thing down there in the fall. I had no idea that he was 175-52! I must have missed the reason he was let go. I know we (Crockett) had a big rivalry for years with you. We are now moved over to region 7, so wouldn't see you for a while in the playoffs if we meet. THanks for the info. !
