I can agree with that . Some things you have said have nothing to do with being soft.

Criticism is not critiquing. A real fan is more supportive in my opinion

some of posts have been negative about a team you say you are a fan of.

From some of your posts you should not say WE will be ready. You are not the best fan they have.

I know winning is good but it is not everything. I respect LA for moving up. I had no respect for them when they were beating people silly. Those games are not even fun to watch. But some would rather win at any cost .

Same as BA ,Ensworth, and LA. To play where it is the most competitive for them and not just play against teams that offer no or little competition. The worst school in Tennessee that should have moved up to 6A and has many state championships is Alcoa. No way would Gary Rankin be the winningest coach in Tennessee and mentioned nationally if they played up but his ego is in the way. He left Riverdale because they were no longer going to be the big dog in Murfreesboro.

Not a big deal just a thought. BA was always a 1A school before the split and there were 5 classifications. They stayed a 1A and won state championships ,moved to 2A and won state, even moved to 5A and won. I think even LA moved up to play with big boys. Just wondering why PC and East would not want to compete and a higher level and not see how good they really are.

I already know all of this. You answered the question with a yes. They can play up if they like and like you said they are 4A and stay there so to have a chance at a state championship. I am not asking about any other school , just the top 2 in metro .

They play a few games but not at 6A level every week. Just answer yes or no . there is not a wrong answer.

Most teams even those with large team numbers only play 30 kids at most. I would say a lot of teams play less than that. Even 6A teams.

That was. I am just curious as to how they would do playing at the highest level week in and out and in playoffs ,not just a few games . Will never know because it will never happen. I understand them not because the state championship will not be a possibility like it is now. I have not seen anybody respond to the question ,, " How would they do playing at the highest level" It is just a hypothetical question. A simple yes or no will do. I say no. What is your answer?

And they lost this past week to a small private school. It was just a question I was interested in. So you think they could get back to Chatt if they played at the highest level. I for one do not.

I keep seeing metro teams ranked weekly on here. Antioch appears to be the best team because of their schedule and level of play (6A). I understand level of play is based on school enrollment, but I know that does not translate into quality or number of players on the team. That being said why do East and Pearl-Cohn continue to play at a lower level and dominate. I would like to see how they would do at 5A or 6A , then they could truly declare themselves the best programs in metro. Just a thought. Could it be they are not quite as good as wins show.

I have seen good coaches win with talent ,I have seen bad coaches win with talent, but I have never seen any coach win with bad talent.

That being said, would East be 5-0 with Simpson as coach and would Maplewood be 0-5 with Harris as coach?

So why did he not go? So Simpson would not have gotten job?

How so when Simpson was DC on staff?

I bet Simpson wishes he would have waited and got the job at East.

Overton home bleachers have been determined to be unsafe and not to be used. Other Metro schools going to be facing this ?
