Sure my guys fumbled, but I wasn't comparing any of them to Reggie Bush either. As good as Bush was in college, he as been average in the League. Sure he played well tonight. I dont have any problem saying that. Heck, I hope he does well. But to compare him to R. Bush, etc. is just pure fantasy. One of our Sophs has a KO return for a TD, a couple of INTs, a receiving TD, etc. However, I am yet to submit his name to the NFL for consideration to the Hall of Fame.

Yes, 1180 is a Knoxville based radio station, and they broadcast Bearden football. I dont think it would be broadcast on 94.3 in Knoxville? 94.3 plays a heavy alternative mix.

With Karns ending the 18 losing streak for the Panthers, I would worry too much if I was a Mo' East fan. People were expecting better more from the Beavers. There were a few cases of Beaver Fever reported in the area!

I thought the 2nd team TB (#21) didn't look to bad in the Central scrimmage. I don't know his name, but he seemed fairly quick and had fairly good vision.

DB was in the I-formation. I dont recall them lining up in the gun at all. From memory Central ran some I and some gun w/ a back on both sides of the QB. Maybe even some 1 back. DB played w/ 3 down lineman on D. I wouldn't know if the D was first or second team. DB drove length of field on first possesion and turned it over on downs. DB scored on second or third possession.

I attended the scrimmage yesterday evening, and I will provide a brief report. First, the format of the scrimmage was 10 plays for each offense. After 10 plays the other team got the ball. Central scored on their first possession with a 40-50 yard run on a delay handoff. Nice run by the back. DB moved the ball to the central 5 on their first possession, but turned it over on downs. Crawford hit Sylvester at about the 5 for a pass that would have been a TD, but the pass was droped. DB scored on their next possession w/ CS taking the ball in from about 40 yards out. Very nice run and he broke a couple of arms tackles along the way. CS was punishing throughout the evening. Roop picked off a poorly thrown ball during one series. Due to the format, central retained possesion and scored on a short pass - long run on the very next play. QB probably threw the ball to the LOS, and the WR ran about 60-70 yards untouched. Central scored on another long pass when the DB defensive back mistimed his jump. He should have either intercepted or deflected it, but the central WR caught it an ran in from about hte 15 yard line. Central starters were up 3-1. Game was closer than the scored showed, IMO. DB has several fumbles w/ the first team O. CS had two, crawford one and lawson one. DB looked OK on O, but not great. DB was dominating at times on D, but gave up several big plays. Central has a nice team with some size and speed. It will be interesting to see what they do this year. Best of luck to the bobcats!

I just today heard from a friend that is very close to the Halls program that you guys have a pretty strong team this year. I will be interesting to see how the scirmmage goes. We would appreciate some thoughts and opinions from the Halls folks regarding this years version of the Indians.

as far as places to eat in Kingsport, I would also recommend both Rush Street and Italian Village. Rush street has very good pizza and burgers. Very large menu, also. ROLL TRIBE ROLL

Agreed. Way, way too many delay of game penalties last season. No real excuse for that.
