  1. Well I am a big Vandy fan, and I know that Holly Rogers signed with the 'Dores. Just curious to find out how she did? What are her season stats up to this point? Any info. would be great!
  2. I dont know who is going to win, but I will be rooting for the Buccaneers!! Go Bucs - you girls have beaten them before and you can do it again!
  3. I am a Beech graduate and have not posted anything on here in like two years, but I was bored and reading the posts. I just wanted to state that it is just like Hendersonville fans to say that Beech won on luck. I hope that the Commandos are crushed by their next opponents as it is soo obvious that their fans are sore losers and always have been - I mean just give credit when credit is due. Go Bucs - even though I know no one on the squad...You girls deserve it!
  4. Anyone know the score of the Beech vs. Henry County game?? Just curious.
  5. Well, I haven't seen them play yet this year, but they do have some senior leadership in Amber Warren, Roseanne West, Allie Smith, and Katie Shelton. Shelton and Smith should be team leaders this year and they seem to have a pretty good starting five. I believe they will do pretty well, as Coach Walker always seems to have them ready to play. They did, however, lose two great gals in Dana Carrigan and Kari Maddox. They have stiff competition in Mt. Juliet and Wilson County this year. I see them finsihing in either 2nd or 3rd in the district.
  6. The teams in District 9 - AAA are Hendersonville, Beech, Gallatin, Mt. Juliet, LaVergne, Smryna, White House, and Wilson Central. Last year the final regular standings were: 1. Hendersonville 2. LaVergne 3. Gallatin 4. Beech 5. Wilson Central 6. Smryna 7. Mt. Juliet 8. White House And the final four were: Hendersonville. Gallatin, Beech, and Mt. Juliet. Gallatin def. Hendersonville to win the district championship. What does everyone think will be the final standings this year. Beech graduated Nathan Dunn and Taylor Douglas. I do not know much about the other teams, but I would love to hear any info. someone has. Beech does have multiple seniors this year, however.
  7. I know that Beech lost seniors Dana Carrigan, Kari Maddox and Brittany Hunter, so they won't quite be state-runner-up material, but they should be pretty good. Also being a Buccaneer fan myself, I predict that the starting five should be: Seniors - Allie Smith, Katie Shelton, Roseanne West, and Amber Warren Junior - Danielle Drilling They also have some good Sophomores and Freshman that should replenish the Lady Buc squad for a couple of years. I do believe, however, that Mt. Juliet will be the team to beat. My guess on final standings is: 1. Mt. Juliet 2. Beech 3. Wilson Central 4. Gallatin 4. Hendersonville 4. Smryna 7. LaVergne 8. White House Gallatin, Hendersonville, and Smyrna seem to be pretty even - not sure about outcome.
  8. Hunters Lane will pull this one out, because every time that Beech defeats Hendersonville they always overlook their next opponent..... EX: 2001: After starting the season 7-0 and beating Hendersonville, the Buccaneers squeeked by unranked Cookeville 7-6 2003: After defeating the Commandoes, barely survived Hunters Lane 23-22 My main point is that this year's team is not as talented as in year's past and Hunters Lane will take this opportunity to beat the Bucs at home! Hopefully Beech will prove me wrong though. Hunters Lane 42 Beech 35
  9. Hey redbaron, long time no see! Unfortunately I was not at the Hendersonville game because of distance, but I will be able to go to the Beech vs. Hunters Lane game! Hope to see you there!
  10. As some of you may recall, I did a Sumner County page last year during football season. However, I must admit that with Beech playing so bad at the beginning of the season I did not want to do one. But, with three consecutive wins and a huge district victory over Hendersonville, I decided to start one up again this year! Forgive me for being so partial to my team! Sumner County Teams: Beech Gallatin Hendersonville Pope John Paul II Portland Station Camp Westmoreland White Hose Common Opponents: vs. Springfield 1. Beech loss 23-21 2. Gallatin win 49-6 3. White House win 24-7 vs. Dickson Co. 1. Beech loss 42-24 2. Hendersonville loss 17-14 vs. Smyrna 1. Gallatin win 38-35 2. Hendersonville loss 24-17 vs. Greenbrier 1. Beech loss 48-24 2. White House win 10-7 vs. C. Northeast 1. Beech win 35-7 2. White House win 56-2 vs. Antioch 1. Beech loss 52-0 2. Gallatin win 12-7 Games of the Week:Beech @ Hunters Lane David Lipscomb @ Westmoreland Rankings and Team Stats 1) Gallatin Region: 5-5A Record: 5-1 (2-0)............Tied for First in County Total Offense: 201 ..........Per Game: 33.5..........First in County Total Defense: 77............Per Game: 12.83........Third in County After a huge region victory over Antioch (12-7) Gallatin seems poised to take this region unbeaten, however they cannot overlook teams like Hendersonville, Hunter Lane, and Beech, in the near future. Next week vs. McGavock....................My prediction: Gallatin 52 McGavock 3 2) White House Region: 4-6A Record: 5-1 (3-0)............Tied for First in County Total Offense: 157...........Per Game: 26.16.........Fifth in County Total Defense: 71............Per Game: 11.8...........Second in County With an easy defeat of Clarksville Northeast (56-2) White House hasn't hit a bump in the road yet. However, as always, some tough region opponenets lie ahead like Pearl-Cohn and Whites Creek. Next week vs. Rossview.....................My prediction: WHHS 21 Rossview 13 3) Portland Region: 3-4A Record: 4-2 (4-1)............Tied for Third in County Total Offfense: 149..........Per Game: 24.83.........Sixth in County Total Defense: 80............Per Game: 13.3...........Fourth in County I had a very tough time deciding which teams should be placed numbers 3-6 in the county, but I ultimately went with Portland at the #3 spot because of their region and overall records. Portland won a close one this week defeating region foe York Institute 23-21. Next week vs. Upperman..................My prediction: Portland 23 Upperman 14 4) Westmoreland Region: 2-4A Record: 4-2 (2-0).............Tied for Third in County Total Offense: 170............Per Game: 28.33..........Third in County Total Defense: 61.............Per Game: 10.16..........First in County The main reason Westmoreland is where it is, is because of its record. However, what hurts them is their low classification compared to the rest of the county. Westmoreland ran all over Station Camp without any problems, easily defeating the Bisons 47-0. Next week vs. David Lipscomb...........My prediction: David Lip. 10 West. 6 5) Beech Region: 5-5A Record: 3-4 (2-1)..............Sixth in County Total Offense: 178.............Per Game: 29.66.........Second in County Total Defense: 247............Per Game: 41.16..........Eighth in County Beech does not have very good stats, but they do have a winning region record and a huge victory over the Commandoes of Hendersonville. They are also ranked higher than some other teams because of their tough region and higher classification. Next week vs. @ Hunters Lane.............My prediction: Hunters Lane 42 Beech 35 6) Hendersonville Region: 5-5A Record: 3-3 (1-1)...............Fifth in County Total Offense: 174..............Per Game: 29..............Third in County Total Defense: 115.............Per Game: 19.16..........Fifth in County Hendersonville is coming off a huge loss to the Buccaneers, but are still alive in the playoff race with an early season victory over Hunters Lane. They will probabaly take out alot of anger on the Colts of Glencliff next week. Next week vs. @ Glencliff..................My prediction: H'ville 35 Glencliff 10 7) Station Camp Region: 2-4A Record: 2-4 (0-3)...............Seventh in County Total Offense: 84................Per Game: 14...............Eighth in County Total Defense: 167..............Per Game: 27.8............Sixth in County Station Camp got a spanking from a tough region opponent in the Eagles of Westmoreland. However, they can turn around their region record and troubles with a game vs. Stewart County. Next week vs. Stewart County...........My prediction: Station Camp 17 Stewart 13 8) Pope John Paul II Region: AA East Record: 2-5 (1-2)..............Eighth in County Total Offense: 136.............Per Game: 22.6...............Seventh in County Total Defense: 214............Per Game: 35.66..............Seventh in County After a huge 54-21 loss to BGA, PJPII needs a win soon to get back in the race for the playoffs. However, this first year team has some work to do and is in need of senior leadership. Next week @ Knoxville Webb..............My prediction: KW 38 Pope John 30 Please give me any suggestions on future improvements!!! Good luck to all Sumner County teams!! (especially the Bucs)

    Beech Wins!

Way to go Beech!! I am so proud of the football for not losing hope, especially after how you guys started the season! Great game-very intense! Way to go Bucs-keep up the good work and get ready for Hunters Lane!
  12. I believe that Gallatin is far overrated in this poll, because of their high number of recent graduates! I do, however, see them making the playoffs, just not with a first place ranking. I see Antioch as the surprise team in the region, maybe taking that final playoff spot from Hunters Lane. My guess is: 1. Hendersonville 2. Beech / toss up 3. Gallatin / toss up 4. Antioch 5. Hunters Lane 6. McGavock 7. Glencliff
  13. Just curious about the outcome in this midstate softball game-Beech vs. DA?
  14. What does everyone think will be the outcome of region 5-5A next season? The final regular season order was... 1. Gallatin 10-0 2. Beech 8-2 3. Hendersonville 6-4 4. Hunters Lane 5-5 5. Antioch 6. McGavock 7. Glencliff I dont really know the returning players for each team, except Beech! They will have the talent of RJ Meadows, Kyle DiMeola, Jeremy Leftwich, Malcolm Sheffield, etc., there might be more!!! Anyway can anyone tell me some returners to each squad, and the predicted region order of finish! I predict.... 1. Hendersonville 2. Beech 3. Gallatin (alot of graduating seniors) 4. Hunters Lane (new coach might hurt chances) 5. Antioch 6. Glencliff 7. McGavock
