i don't understand why alsup would leave because of parents. i haven't heard anything of the sort. i mean, critical parents comes with the territory. where do you think the term "soccer mom" comes from? there will always be nay-sayers or people who criticize what you do. region4fan, you are correct. the criticism had toned down since the lebanon game. in fact, it had all but ceased. i would hope alsup isn't leaving because he will be leaving a lot of young talent behind. if anyone thinks this year is the closest we will ever come to a state championship, they are sorely mistaken. as a senior, i was extremely sad when we lost and was not comforted by the fact that "there's always next year." however, i would hope that the underclassmen have something to look forward to...

okay, i've come to the conclusion that if one more mean message is posted on this thread, it will explode. there's already 13 pages worth of bashing! so no more name-calling or ###### contests.

frankly, i don't think he would resign when his son has two more years left to play. i've heard he might resign once his son is gone but not until then. i've also heard watson might be applying to siegel, but presently it's all hearsay. please excuse smallz for losing his cool earlier. he looooves to argue. thanks for the mark.

smallz, blazep, chips, shady, titansfan, who are you? i say we all identify ourselves after the RHS game. there will be quite a few surprises i believe. as for the online/smallz quarrelling: i have been reading what each of you has to say, and i respect both of your opinions. bottom line: you're both from different schools but have one thing in common- you're both very proud of your team. don't let that change, but don't let that cause unecessary tension either. admit it, once this game is over everyone in m'boro will be back to the way they were before the season. we'll be a sleepy little town again who hopes that one of its teams will make it to state. now, i'm pulling for blackman, like always, but if it comes down to rutherford county vs. another county, it's rutherford all the way. in terms of the new rivalry between BHS and RHS, online, RHS has so much more respect for your team than they do ours. you all have the traditional rivalry, but i believe the true, bitter rivalry is between blackman and riverdale. after all, you all never had your principal turn the warrior football program into the TSSAA. (granted the principals ARE brothers.) all this posting has made me very anxious about the game tomorrow. this is the epitome of what football should be. good luck to the blaze in all their endeavors tomorrow.

smallz, before you incriminate yourself, BHS was up 16-0 at the half...

last season, wes was the recipient of the blaze award, the equivalent to MVP, etc. he has been recovering from a few injuries, but don't think that's going to stop him from gettin the job done. he has been consistent throughout the season, but he had his best game against franklin county a few weeks ago. and guess what...he was hurt.

hold up warrdogg, what are you talking about? i went to RHS my freshman year, know players who came from there and are at BHS with me, and have heard nothing about locker rooms being destroyed. especially not right before we left riverdale. maybe you just heard that from someone else? and what about our attitude? we're doing what everyone else does: stating facts. if you see them as excuses then perhaps you are misreading some of the posts.

hey guys, if you check out the DNJ today on the front page of the sports section is not rico turner...but other KEY players. i think they hit the nail on the head when they picked these three young men. when given a chance, martin and tim do awesome things for the team. dennis, of course, has determined a few ball games. i'm just glad the dnj is wising up a little and writing up players other than rico. GO BLAZE!

to all my blackman friends, choose your battles wisely. i believe there are bigger battles to fight than to sit here and argue with people who aren't going to see eye to eye with you. we are all different and are all entitled to think differently as well. some of these guys are not going to convert to being blaze fans over night, or ever for that matter. you're letting off hot air by going back and forth like this, not to mention adding unecessary stress to your lives. just sit back and enjoy the fact that we're in the QUARTERFINALS!! it's been a long hard road, probably harder than other teams', but hey, that makes it all the better. onlineathelete and region4fan and everyone else who doesn't necessarily post for blackman is entitled to his opinion. let him speak. as i've said before, learn to take what you dish out. anyway, there's no need to be spitting stats back and forth and using rico as an argument topic. the TEAM will play friday, not just #5. P.S. blazep, sorry for the comment earlier when i called you a freshie. i meant no harm.

region4fan, you are waaaaaay too pessimistic about blackman. i realize that you are only pointing out the facts, but you are missing the point. no one is WHINING. bhs fans are proud of their team. don't let pride deceive you. granted, there was a little exaggerating when blazep said we "killed" oakland. however, that does not mean you have to counteract with pulling up a bhs/rhs score from two months ago. i'm sure everyone at blackman and riverdale is fully aware of the score. your insight is always appreciated, but please, lay off a little. some of these guys are just little freshmen with big hearts and bigger mouths. well everyone, friday is approaching, and i'm just wondering what kind of things your fans do to show school spirit or get the fans fired up. my school's mascot is the blaze-we always joke about lighting ourselves on fire, all that silly stuff. what are some of the shocking things your fans do?

mike24, i saw rico's arm reach too. the ball was over the line. oh well, c'est la vie. it doesn't matter. either way, it's a win. i'm sorry there was so much trouble with it though. it makes it even worse for cookeville. all the "what if" questions come to mind.

yeah, mr. meadows said he was gonna put the articles back up. however, you can only read what's show on the home page, no full article action. oh well, it's better than nothing. we don't need to read the articles to know our team is doing a great job this year.

titansfan, i know all about the web site. it makes me angry too. especially since riverdale is still allowed to keep their articles...

all i gotta say is, he covered the mess-up beautifully. =)

what's wrong with having faith in your team?? it seems to me no one in murfreesboro but the BHS students and their families will pick blackman to win. surely someone thinks we can pull it off or else we wouldn't have made it this far. yes, RHS has the tradition, blah, blah, blah, but blackman is doing pretty darn well for a three year program. BHS fans aren't cocky, they're just doing what any loyal fan would: picking the team they'd love to see win. no one says anything when an RHS fan posts on here proclaiming their team will win big. learn to take in what you can deal out. cut us a break everybody. it's not over yet.
