Scrappy, I don't know who you are, either & that's best. What I do know is that you don't know anything about my son so don't make presumptions about him or this family. If this is all you can say on this board, don't post 'cause that was really, really, really bad & could cause you some problems...the focus is on the game, not insulting my child. I really don't care what you say you've seen; obviously, these kids had already impressed someone or they wouldn't have been there...they just all deserved a fair chance at playin & it didn't happen.

If you don't like my opinion, keep your opinions to yourself. You don't know my son or anything about him or his circumstances...he didn't get there because of his big name or a big school or because we paid off the quarterback club. HE EARNED IT & yeah, I understand this is about the Shriners-we helped the Shriners, but he & some of the others are just as good players as any of the others that were kept on the field the whole game. This game is also about letting the kids play & have a good time & show their talent-all of them. My son & others really could've contributed to the team had they been given a fair opportunity. We've been in football with both our sons for a long time, so don't go there...I know football players & coaches. I know what I saw on the field Saturday night. I know what he was told by the coaches & what happened when he got to the game. The best players didn't necessarily play the most. No, some players did not play & they weren't injured either. We've never had anyone here at our school to have this football honor & we've had some fine athletes so we're excited for our son. We simply didn't deserve your comments...

I had a son standing on the sidelines for the west that played very little in the 1st half; he did very well those few plays, but did not play anymore...he was rushed out on the field with 42 seconds left on the clock & east took a knee. Several more kids for the west did not play at all. What a waste! These kids are the best in our state & should have been treated as such. The west coaches kept sending out the same players as if they had no one left & I assure you, the ones that kept playing were no more talented than the ones awaiting their fair turn...

The coaches of the west team did not utilize all their talent as the east team did; by the middle or end of the 3rd qtr, the west's players tongues were hangin out while their sidelines was loaded with fresh legs!!!!!!!!!!1 Lots of talent simply wasted at the cost of the team...just because a kid is a big name or signed with a college or whatever doesn't necessarily always mean he's the best...there's always someone better & waitin for his chance.
