I think it's hard to say who has the wildest student sections, because each school packs the gym for certain teams. I've coached in East Tn. for 10 years now and some of the games that have unbelievable atmosphere are as followed:
Cleveland vs Bradley Central
Any ranked team at Science Hill
Unaka vs University High
Catholic vs Webb
Baylor vs McCallie
Morristown East vs Morristown West
A-E vs Fulton
Farragut vs Bearden
Hampton vs Unaka
Anyone insane enough to go to Cosby.
Catholic should make a run at the state title this year. If Hutchens turns his boys loose (and I heard he will) they'll have track meets for games. They remind me of those old Loyola Maramount teams in the early 90's. Except Catholic plays defense.
Unaka should be tough in 1A. I think teams with speed will give them problems. AusDan was correct. They tried to run with Catholic last year and got beat by 30. If Unaka forces you to play their game they'll kill you. Donald Ensor is a great coach, and does an excellent job up in Stoney Creek.
Knoxville Catholic should be tough. They swept Baylor last year and return 3 starters all double figure scorers. Plus they have Tony Fox in the starting lineup. He's been shooting the lights out all summer and in the Karns Fall League in which he average over 30 ppg. Tremane Brown is an athletic replacement for all conference pick Charlie Davis. KCHS should average anywhere from 80 to 85 ppg as a team. They played Brentwood tough last year. They play in December (on the 13th).
Mike Hutchens is a very underrated coach. 41 wins the last 2 years. Having to compete with the Chattanooga teams. They won a conference Championship last year. They beat an extremely talented Notre Dame team last year. They beat a team out of Louisiana that had three guys sign Division I scholarships. Now that's coaching. Even though they are in DII they do not recruit players. Coach Hutchens is winning with guys from his feeder schools, Sacred Heart, St. Joseph's and St. John Neuman. I've follwed their program for three years now and they do an excellent job.
This maybe Knox Catholic's year. They are loaded with scorers at every position. Tony Fox can flat out shoot the ball. Somebody ask White Station about the three's he buried on them at UT's summer camp. No one ever mentions Brett Connor and he led the Fighting Irish in scoring last year as a sophomore.
Other good Knoxville teams are
Austin-East: always loaded with great talent
Powell: always well coached and prepared to play
Farragut: good shooters
Bearden: consistent winners
Karns: good young team on the rise
I'd like to see their roster also. There is a possibility that the Pilot Comets could play them at Roan State this weekend. The Comets played in Atlanta this weekend and finished second in the Rock the Rim Classic. Losing to a team that had a 6'7 girl in the post.

Mike Hutchens at Catholic does an excellent job with little talent (41 wins over the last two years and a Division II East Conference Championship) Mike and his staff work very hard and still get no recognition.
Brett Connor a sophomore from Knoxville Catholic High School should be on your list. He can play the 1 or the 2 position. He led a balanced Catholic team (which won 20 games and the Division II East regular season conference title) in scoring this year. He's also an excellent defender.
