Our playoff system is designed for one thing - to make the TSSAA money. Those 1st place v. 4th place games are ridiculous. I say any coaches out there with any nads needs to drop out of the TSSAA and form their own association. What's the TSSAA good for anyway? All they do is make ridiculous rules which no one follows and collect money from member schools. AS for Carter improving under Woods, I think 4Afan has a point. Are they a premier team? No. However, they're not the perennial doormat they were in the late 90's when they had idiots for coaches.

The lack of quality coaching will catch up to them by the time they are seniors. Next 3 years : 5-5, 4-6, 3-7. Maryville moves to 5A and gets it handed to them every week. Beautiful. Teams from everywhere will be calling to get maryville on their non-region schedule for an easy week. GQ will move on to a better job at Heritage. I seriously can't see Carter slowing down C. Jackson for 4 quarters. When's the last time Central lost 2 games in a row? When's the last time Carter won 3 games in a row?
