  1. Hey, I work there, don't go bashing on them. . . Anyway though, I would like Siegel to win, but due to injuries and a lack of experience on the team, I am picking Wilson Central. -JohnC
  2. Riverdale steamrolls the Pats at Riverdale, eager to avenge two home losses in one year. The Blaze, with the newfound offensive weapons Mimms and Emerson, overpower and overcome Lebanon on Homecoming. (Upset, had to think about this one.) Wilson Central, who has shown sparks of brilliance, overshadow the Siegel Stars. Smyrna, with Air Wolke and Shannon, give LaVergne a fight in the battle of North Rutherford Schools, and ultimately come away with another W. Franklin powers over the Brentwood Bruins. MBA over Christian Brothers. One more thing folks, I'm tied with Slim at number 3!!! -JohnC
  3. That is amazing. He's going to be in the NFL one day if he keeps that up. -JohnC
  4. Now that would have been funny. . . -JohnC
  5. Alsup is undoubtedly one of the greatest coach's there are. -JohnC
  6. I defenitly wish it would go the other way, Smyrna would really be knocked off a pedestal, but I do believe Smyrna will come up with the win. -JohnC
  7. I think it was one of the places he went. . . Shady, I am not going to UT next year. I hate that school. -JohnC
  8. I don't know, since some think I don't know what I'm talking about. . . You know what, I will anyway. Riverdale comes up with the win in this one. Coming off a huge win against a small team, they'll be eager for a challenge, and will want to take their frustrations at their early season losses on Oakland. -JohnC
  9. name: JohnC age: 18 school: Blackman High School occupation: O'Charleys/Student favorite team: Blaze favorite moment: Last year's overtime defeat of Smyrna at Smyrna. -JohnC
  10. Smyrna easily overshadows LaVergne. I don't think there's any question in my mind about this one. -JohnC
  11. I am a Blackman fan, we've already been killed by Lincoln County. It's good to be home, Tusculum is beautiful, I think that might be where I'm headed next year. . . -JohnC
  12. I am half way across the state, at a relatives house, using their computer to respond a comment made by lilQB. First of all, have you seen my "Pick 'Em" standings? I am ranked number three out of a host of football elite. I have been able to hang with the greatest, including people twice my age. And my picks are never random guesses, they are picks that take a lot of thought. For the bonus games, I ask friends who live in different regions what they think, and then I look up the team's histories to ascertain who has the better chance of winning. Do I have that many friends? Yes I do, I have friends in the Science Hill and DB program in the East, and the Houston program in the West. I have a friend who teaches at Franklin high school, so she is a valuable asset when I talk to her. Second, how can you say that I have no knowledge of the game. My father played in college, and hurt his knee, keeping him from possibly going on the Draft. I played in high school, and decided I didn't like the coach, and the fact that the game just wasn't fun any more. I have friends in every single Boro school, and Smyrna, who keep my updated with tasty information if I want to make a post or two. However, I generally shy from making comments about other programs, because generally, it isn't my place, and I will get tarred and feathered if it turns out to be wrong. I know that a power I formation works well when you have a power fullback and a fast tailback. I know that a 3-4 defense, in my opinion that is, works best, you have one more linebacker to blitz the quarterback. I know that starting a quarterback who obviously is nervous and inexperienced, who underthrows passes, is not a good thing. I know that while having a stellar running game is good, you're still going to lose if you don't have a smidgen of a passing game. And most of all, I know that whichever team sacks the quarterback the most will win the game. Defense wins games, offense only secures that win. I thank Region4Fan for the support. And I would have many colorful words for lilqub right now, if I wouldn't be kicked off the boards or have this thread locked. I dare you, however, to respond. -JohnC
  13. Actually it's Tusculum College. Good luck everyone. . . -JohnC
  14. I'm gonna have to pass. It kills me, but I'll be visiting a college in East Tennessee, and I am leaving right after school on Friday. I forgot I had the appointment until yesterday when I got a reminder in the mail. . .Guess I'll have to listen to 1450 that night to get an idea of what happened. -JohnC
  15. Should we all hug now? Really though, you guys are great. Come game time we're all against each other one way or another, but we're still here going back and forth like brothers the next week. -JohnC
  16. TME, just from reading his posts, is obviously ignorant. ..Very much so. Don't worry about it Region4, and don't let ignorant people get you down. -JohnC
  17. Riverdale takes a toll on the poor Stars in retribution for two home losses this year. Blackman puts up a fight, but loses to Oakland. LaVergne, on a roll, rolls over Lebanon. Smyrna's pass/run attack takes Wilson Central down again. Green Wave washes over Antioch. Germantown over Houston -JohnC
  18. This could be a make or break week in the pick em standings. -JohnC
  19. There is a new offense? Did we actually pass a little? -JohnC
  20. Being up in the mountains and everything, they have nothing better to do. -JohnC
  21. Think of it like this, I have a friend in Johnson City Tennessee, the town that Science Hill is in, and all he has to talk about is how bad the 'Boro teams got beat this week. Our humiliation has spread that far. -JohnC
