  1. personally, i dont think corey is a good enough player to go to oak hill. everyone sees "potential", all i see is a tall, skinny kid that whines but can jump. he has shaky handles to boot. maybe if he did go to oak hill, everyone would finally realize that hes not all hes cracked up to be.
  2. Hey if ya got game show up tom at 3:30 cause this is one of the best runs in Nashville.
  3. this kid is the real deal. hes a quiet leader on the court but leads through how he plays. ive never played against him when he wasnt giving it 100 %. he has great class. he is a great post player and just and all around good guy. i think some college will see him for what he brings both mentally and physically to the court and realize what an asset he could be. congrats on the awards and good luck in the near future. hopefully ill get one more chance against you on thursday.
  4. you gotta give it up for district 8 AA. with teams like Portland, Hume Fogg, Lipscomb, and a very athletic Springfield team, not to mention MLK, this is quite the tossup for who can take district champion honors.
  5. look slick, there arent just 2 teams that go to state so thats great if btw plays dyer co. then congrats to both of their programs. yes, hume fogg does have a good team but where was that at lipscomb? i think they must have just left it at home because an 18 point loss isnt very impressive. we took a good team in 2 ots with 4 people fouling out. and 2 others on the bench with sickness. we have more than just one player, when you have a guy shooting 43% from three, hes not what you would call a "streaky" shooter. just look at the stats. its also not easy to pull off a W when the opposing team shoots 40 somethin free throws. the game shouldnt have even gone into ot to begin with but what are ya gonna do? id also like to see what you call a good player. maybe shaq could live up to those standards but maybe not. whatever you think sahoops, thats what we will go with. well bro, i gotta get back to class so ill holla at ya later. peace out.
  6. look fellas. you're(fans of nashville christian in general) the ones who started the debate on who would beat who. all this is is some friendly bickering from fans and players of teams who just happen to take pride in their team. thats all. if the fans of ncs believe that they could beat us in the first place then great. our fans just believe that we have the ability to beat ncs. thats what happens when you support a team. you begin to have faith in them. i just felt i should let you guys know the obvious things about this whole situation.
  7. corey is gonna get his points. he shoots more than iverson and kobe combined. if you shoot 40 times in a game you are going to score 20 if you only hit 25% of your shots. he needs to learn his role on their team and be able to distribute the ball among his teamates. what i want to know is why he wants to shoot more than fergeson. he is a great post player and he is taking the ball out of his hands. this is a huge reason they have lost big games.
  8. two words arent gonna beat lipscomb. [Edited by abraham on 1-27-03 10:50P]
  9. this is going to be a tough matchup for lipscomb as they travel all the way to portland. its a game that could come down to the final shot or it could end up like last time. as far as i have heard portland wasnt up to 100% health last time they played. who knows what they are capable of. my prediction is that lipscomb will come out on top. as long as the mustangs and the coaster can keep up the hot shooting from the perimeter, they will be just fine.
  10. yeah, thats a good idea. lets base this game on the game against goodpasture. first of all, we beat goodpasture, you didnt. secondly, we didnt have all our guys, you probably did (since football didnt go very far). so that is two big factors that i can see right off the bat. good job! you beat clarksville academy! i would just like to congratulate the entire ncs student body and faculty for this huge win. i am just in utter disbelief! yall also beat a good team in fairview by 5. thats just one of the most impressive things i have seen in high school basketball this year. what an upset! another thing, what if that off shooting night just happens to come in the first round of district? that would sure stink. it can happen any night to anybody. and yes, we are a good three point team. we just understand when and when not to shoot. we have more options than just the 3. we find ways to beat people by an avg. of 20 points. so what? you can blow out a bad team every now and then. more power to ya. its when you can do it consistently that matters. so anyway, if you want to think that you would have a shot at beating us then we will give you 25 points to start the game and then beat you by 15. thats just how it works with the big boys. start talkin when you beat someone that matters like mcewen. i wont mind then. keep it real ncsfan.
  11. thats a great idea we could settle this dispute without hurting anyones record. i like your thinking panzyfan. if the ncs fans and players want to get this arranged then i would love to show you what a real basketball team has the capability of doing.
  12. i dont know how you can expect a team to score 61 on a defense that hasn't given up more than 54 pointsin a game in a total of 12 games. this amounts to a measly 40.9 ppg by the opposing teams. ever heard the phrase live by the 3 die by the 3. you cant knock em down forever. another thing, we have some pretty good players on our team as well. my prediction: DLHS-78 NCS-39 [Edited by abraham on 1-23-03 4:14P] [Edited by abraham on 1-23-03 4:15P]
  13. are you serious about this? i thought that we had lighthouse chr. scheduled but if you know of a change then i would like to know. just wondering if this is actually valid info.
  14. three words: very boring game hardly any fans, quiet atmosphere, wasn't very close
