great game in "The Silo" but the refs let things almost get out of hand. They let the guys play but called some fouls that both sides thought should not have been called then didn't call some that got boos. Thats one job I would not want. I'll get the stats on here tomorrow but great game by both sides.

Kinda wired since the replay hadn't shown yet great game tonight though. Both the Rockets and Lady Rockets get the W. Holly Whitworth and Julie Jones get co players of the game for the girls and Jenkins and McCone get it for the boys. I'll get the stats up later on tonight or tomorrow.

if you look around the state, their are bad fans. While some may do things like blow train wistles, others have been known to turning to coachs and broadcasters at when their team is down or something they dont like. But for someone who is a pro sports writer ( i assume he was paid for that story) to single out something like that about HIGH SCHOOL football shows me how much their in need for stories. I'm sure there's a horse shoe throwing contest or watermelon seed spitting contest some where over there. Cover that while your at it.

Johnathan Ward and Jacob Victory from Collinwood, Chris Fanning from Huntland, Ross Myers ,Joseph Haynes, and Zack Kennedy from Forrest. Don't have my roster of the others but the strong side of the Wayne Con D Line did a great job. Those are some that I thought did a good job this year. [Edited by voiceofrockets on 11-25-02 1:53P]

The MCHS game will be on WAXO and you can find it at www.tnets.net and click on WAXO Live. Troy and Bob do the best job on MCHS games and Troy really gets in to it. You can tell they love this team. Their not the sports leader in Marshall Co. for nothing.

Ok kinda 3 way here. If Huntland wins they go. If Forrest wins and Moore Co. loses they go but if Forrest win and Moore Co. wins they go. Kinda intresting. If Forrest makes it, will they be the first team to start the season 0-4 and make the playoffs? Huntland will want to prove that the lose to Moore Co. was a fluke. Moore Co. will want to prove it wasn't. Should be a great night of football for the region.

Well it's a week away but not to early I guess. The Rockets comming off two in a row are looking strong. But the Bulldogs with the big win agianst Moore Co. is on cloud nine. Predictions anyone? I have to say since the game is in Chapel Hill the edge might go to the rockets. But you know Cornersville will be UP for this game. Kinda like north vs. south in the county. And one side note Ross Myers #32 for forrest goes over 1000 yds for the season last night aginst Mt Pleasent last night. He's at 1032 now. A very nice game for Myers. And his dad says he's not a football player....but a better baseball player. lol. Chris Sullivan #34 is 5th in mid state on tackles and Joesph Haynes #65 is 6th. Should be a great game.

The ref's are having a bad year I guess....A play I remember they messed up was Forrest aginst Collinwood. Rockets were down by two TD's and it was late in the 4th quarter. 4th down and as the Rockets broke the huddle a WR came to the side lines but he did stay on the field. About 3 yards on the field. The QB started yelling and so did the coaches like he was supposed to be in. The QB and WR met at the numbers and stoped. The ball was then snaped to the RB and Collinwood was looking at their side lines. The ref threw his flag olny to wave it off. That one missed call took the wind out of their sails and the Rockets were done. Doing the Rockets games for WAXO TV I'm not supposed to say anything cross about the ref's but that night I had to wonder. The bad thing was Coach Stacy told the ref's before the game about the trick play!
