CCbaseball fan. Did you think they left Webster in a couple batters to long. I thought they should have pulled him before Poling. Not second guessing, thats just what i was thinking at that point in the game.

I was gonna go to the coffee baseball game but now i think i will be in tullahoma watching this game.

Tullahoma has come a long way since Cardwell took over tullahoma. I think he has beaten them at least once every year, i may be wrong though. It seems as though over the past few weeks Amanda Duke has been unhittable. Mike what time is the game on monday.

Bratton is their best player. I don't think they are as good as they have been in years past. It seemed like at times they struggled to score alot of runs. They don't have that top of the line leadoff guy like they did with english last year. There pitching is solid, nothing really over powering. Luther brings it pretty good and if he hits his spots can dominate a game. I only saw McDonald throw once, and he threw a complete game, but he gave up some runs. But i still think he is an above average pitcher. Columbia is just one of those teams that is a tournament team. Seems like Pickle has his team ready to play around this time every year.

Does anyone know the scores from today. I was told by my friend on the Lady Bucks that she hurt her achillies, which if is true is devastating. Thats the one injury that is hard as heck to play with.

I know it did this tournament. This year they put on a clinic on how to hit fly balls.

Pickle does a great job with Columbia. It seems like no matter what place they finish in the season, they are in the final two at the tournament. As for the finals. I don't know who pitched yesterday for either team. But i will take columbia on a hunch.

the only thing i don;t like about it is you are penalizing 2 teams that won on the first day and rewarding to teams that lost on the first day. Also Shelbyville has to win 3 games to reach the final while franklin county and columbia have a possibility of only having to win 2 to reach the final.

Ok here it is. Monday at 1 Coffee-Tullahoma 3:30 Columbia Franklin County 6 Shelbyville and the winner of the first game now if shelbyville wins there game they advance to the region as well as the winner of the columbia franklin county game. if shelbyville loses, then they will play the winner of columbia franklin county with the winner advancing to the region.

All three of the games today were sloppy. Columbia beat lawrencweburg 7-6 or 8-7. Shelbyville beat tullahoma 9-5 or 4. Franklin County beat Coffee 13-10

Tullahoma Columbia was a good game. Miller practically owned Comlumbia on the mound till the seventh where Columbia scored three runs to tie the game. And with 2 outs Morris hit a freaking bomb to right field. It got out in a hurry. Coffee and Lawrence was a good game to. Even though Coffee was behind the whole game, i had the sense that they were gonna wind up winning it. I still feel Lawrence gave the game away, Coffee did what was needed to win the game. Most of the runs scored in the game were because of sloppy play.

In baseball the classification doesn't matter as much as it does in football. To win in baseball you don't have to have alot of top athletes to win. You need solid guys that can play the game. And even if you have a great athlete, its hard to hit that little baseball. And in small schools, if you have a top notch pitcher, or player or two you can play with the higher classifications. Cause in baseball, a player or two can carry a team to a win in a game that they shouldn't have a reason of winning on paper. While you look at football, the best athletes are gonna win most of the time. And by the numbers, the more students you have the more athletes you have. And in football if you have a great athlete, you can probably find a spot for him to play on the field. And in a football you can have a top notch player, but he isn't gonna be able to carry a team to victory by himself as easy. Because one or two players can't carry a football team as easily as they can in baseball. But the biggest difference in numbers. And in baseball it is probably easier for the lower classifications to compete with the higher ones.
