  1. The Cleveland and Knox Central game will be won in the trenches and special teams. Who has the fewest turnovers and defensive mistakes will win this game. By the scores of the only game of common opponents, Knox Carter, the game will be very close(less than a touchdown). By the power ratings on the T$$AA web site, Cleveland is favored by a field goal. The place to be on Friday night in Cleveland is at Benny Monroe Stadium at 7 PM. [Edited by CHSpanther on 11-13-02 3:28P]
  2. Our hearts pour out to the people in (Morgan Co, Anderson Co. and Roane Co) where the tornado hit. Our thoughts and prayers from Cleveland and Bradley Co. go to the fine people of the cities effected. GOD BLESS YOU
  3. Dress very in layers. It will be very cold on the mountian if the wind is blowing out of the north.
  4. Coach Lovingood moved to Georgia this summer and dosen't coach Walker Valley anymore. He said show me the money!!!!!!
  5. Directions to Cleveland High School from Knoxville. Take 1-75 South to exit 27. Turn left on Paul Huff PKWY (under the interstate) and go to the first red light (Peerless Road) and take a right. Go about 1.5 miles to the next red light (Raider Drive). Take a left and the field is on the left. The lights will be on a 6 PM. You need to park in the lower parking lots because the upper parking lot is reserved parking, home football team and where the visiting band parks. There are 2 entrances into Raider field. The top entrance is on the visitor [Edited by CHSpanther on 11-6-02 6:42A]
  6. You are talking about a sophmore class that is having a pretty good year this year. There is 6 or 7 sophmores starting this year alone with 2 more coming of the bench and getting playing time even in close games. The freshman class has 3 or 4 people that could start or play alot next year. The sophmore class had to grow up real quick with on the job training.
  7. Cleveland will play Rhea Co.for the region championship on Friday. Cleveland is injury free except for a few scrapes and bruises. Rhea Co. is down from the win over Cleveland last year. Cleveland has home field with a win and stay at friendly Benny Monroe stadium. If Cleveland loses they go to third place and play Knox Central. Cleveland by 10. 8. Cleveland got off to a slow start, but when they hit full stride, the game was over. Cleveland made a few mistakes on defense but the offense looked good. Walker Valley has a good nucleus, but still a little thin on player depth. Walker Valley trashed talked all night to Lavonte and Jay Davis, but in the end Cleveland showed a little class in not resposding and letting them talk. Coach Brown showed the Cleveland crowd last night what kind of team Cleveland will have next year by playing a lot of sophmores and Freshman. Cleveland starts about 6 sophmores know and next year they may start 3 or 4 more to go with the class of Soph., Jrs. Cleveland will lose a few key people, but as they do almost every year, they just reload.
  9. They scrimmaged at Cleveland this fall and they tied 1-1. Anderson Co. scored om a 45 yd pass play and Cleveland scored on an interseption of 40 yds. The rest of the scrimmage was played between the 20's. Both teams should be strong or stronger than this year. It will be a good game to open up with and to see what both teams have to compete in their respective regions. Cleveland is loaded with underclassmen.
  10. Tyner @ Meigs Oneida @ Greenback Powell Valley @ Copper Basin Brainerd @ Rhea Co. Oliver Springs @ Sequoyah to name a few.
  11. The game will not be as close as the Cleveland/Bradley game. The field conditions will be a whole lot better than the bradley game. There is not major injuries and Cleveland offense is finally coming around at the right time. Walker Valley has a lot of 2 way players and it seems to run out of gas at the end of every game. The weather has a lot to do with that and it will be a little cooler come Friday Night and that will help Walker Valley 2 way'ers. If WV can stay close, they might have a chance. But if Cleveland scores start scoring in bunches, its going to be a long night.
  12. THANKS FB[Edited by fbbbrobref on 10-15-02 11:29A] [Edited by fbbbrobref on 10-15-02 11:31A]
  13. If the New School (Walker Valley) is drawing football players, then why have they just won 1 game this year.
  14. Tonights homecoming and Cleveland High will roll to another region win.
  15. Kyle Clayton of Cleveland High School is a Hard throwing and crafty left hander that will pitch this year as a freshman.
  16. Adam Derrick of Cleveland High School who has the size (5-10--155) the speed (4.7) the arm (8 outfield assist) plus hits for average and pitched for the Freshman team last year with an 1.92 ERA with 8 strikeout/1 walk ratio. His totals from last summer .450-1 homerun-3 triples-9 doubles-several singles and just 5 strikeouts. That freshman team was loaded with lots of talent.
  17. Rhea Co. will beat East Ridge by a touchdown. They are a hard nosed team and will take it to them better than Cleveland Did last week. [Edited by fbbbrobref on 10-9-02 2:31P] [Edited by fbbbrobref on 10-9-02 2:33P]
