Beech beat Wilson Central ... Mt Juliet is beating Beech 2 - 0 in the 6th inning.

Smyrna beat Gallatin 3-1 ... Gray struck out 16.

This is the first year for the "Dogpound". It is a great group of Dads that decided to have some fun watching thier sons win or lose. I will have to admit ... it is more fun when they win. The team LOVES it!! You guys just hate it because we are winning, bet you can find something wrong with every team you play if you look hard enough. Let the old men have thier fun!!

One of our coaches calls it in every night we play with each players stats, records and everything they need ... of course if our game goes past 9pm, it does not make the paper until the next print day. Even when it is in the paper, it is a whole 2 sentences! They are so used to us covering our own games they sit at the desk waiting on the calls. PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know who else played on Wednesday evening ... but Smyrna hosted Beech for the lead in 9AAA and the DNJ was nowhere in site. One of the coaches had to call in the score and highlights. PITIFUL!! I agree with Magoo, all you have to do is look at the online local high school page and see they are a little slow in thier reporting. It is still about basketball! Now that I think about it the only pictures I have seen of Smyrna baseball in the DNJ this year were Sonny's head shots from football.

Way to travel Bulldog Fans ... we may have had more fans there than Beech, at least we were close! Gallatin people and scouts don't count. "Dog Pound" was thier usual rowdy gang ... LOVE the K's, you guys are the best! Great win Bulldogs! Tough week ahead with travel, stay focused and do your jobs. "Dog Pound" has your back!

SMYRNA HIGH ... home of the "Dog Pound" Struck out 16 tonite in a no hitter against Mt Juliet. Scouts behind me (several of them) said he averaged 94 mph.

WHAT A GAME!!! The crowd was amazing, Sonny was awesome, defense was spectacular.....Dog Pound, you may need some more "K's"!! WOOF WOOF!!!!! Good job by everyone! LaVergne is next ... does the Dog Pound travel????

Can't wait!!!!! Hope is not too cold for the pitchers, feels great to me. This is going to be a great atmosphere for baseball ... come on over to Smyrna. food is great, fans are the best! Hope the "DOG POUND" is out in full force tonite! We will keep the coffee hot! Game time 7pm BTW ... JV plays before that and they are both fun teams to watch ... come early and get a good seat.

God has nothing but good things planned for Brock! He has always been a fighter and the "heart of his team" ... God will heal ALL of his wounds and whatever path he chooses Brock will always be a winner!!!!

That is exactly what Smyrna did last year ... a teacher was the "Freshmen Head Coach" and we had volunteers, ex SHS football players helping out! Graet experience for the kids and they learned a lot from ex players they looked up to when they came from the middle schol to watch over the past few years. Names they recognized and role models for them! Great plan ... just got to get Butch and Ferg on board!!

I called Jeff Lockridge the morning the article came out, his number was at the bottom of the article. Apparently I was not the only one that called. YES she did CALL, FAX and EMAIL HIM. He returned her call and that is where he got the story. Apparently she is a frequent informant to the Tennessean. VERY PROUD BULLDOG FAN!!

YES YOU HAVE COME A LONG WAY!!! If I were Ravenwood I would be very worried about the "new and IMPROVED" underdawgs17. You won't see much of him on CoachT this week, but come Saturday you will see more than you ever wanted to see of him. He has stepped up BIG and we are all very proud! GO DOGS!!! P.S. "I BELIEVE"
