Enough about the Riverdale game ...it was a great win but we have another week of hard practice to get ready for another great team. Get past all this and help the kids out by keeping them focused on Ooltewah! GO DOGS!!!!!

I think 82cat knows as much or more than you do about the ins and outs of high school football .... he just does not have the "SID" title I have been at every Smyrna baseball, football and basketball game for 8plus years and the only time I have seen you is when we play Riverdale, so PLEASE enlighten us Smyrna fans as to exactly what you have done for Smyrna athletics!

Nobady wants that more than these kids, so let's all try to stay on the task at hand ......OOLTEWAH. One week at a time!! GO DOGS!!!

Hey Buddy ... I am a big Smyrna fan and I appreciate your enthusiaism ... but you need to understand that the Riverdale game was not the State Championship game. Let's stay focused on this week! Thanks for your support, but let's try and help the team keep thier eyes on one week at a time.

Those statements and photos were posted "AFTER" the game and they were accurate! We did get routed ... noone is denying that. It will be interesting to see if the "once proud Bulldogs" even bother showing up Friday night. WOW you guys got beat 42-7 at Tullahoma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Smrna is selling tickets at the school office ... I had to pick mine up last year at Riverdale because Smyrna was NOT sent any to sell for some reason.

Don't think Smyrna is the only school guilty of that .....I seem to remember a few years back, some coach whining in the DNJ about his "hurt" player not being able to play in the big game. To everyone's surprise he did take the field that Friday night in a different numbered jersey and seemed to be as good as always. Anyone remember that? It was Riverdale's Jesse Chesterfield!

Everyone seems to care when they become sophomores, juniors and seniors and know your system.

Speaking of young teams ... OHS Freshman play host to Smyrna tonite at 7pm.

I agree with Cat ... the team is fine and did not miss a beat today after the big announcement. They are ready to play football and ALL of the coaches at Smyrna will step right up and do what has to be done. We will miss Coach Wells ... but the teams answer was "football will still happen every Friday night so let's get ready to play and win". Good luck Coach Wells, hope it works out for the best.
