I don't know anything about either of these schools so I had to look up what class these schools are in to see who South Greene might meet up with in the post season. They are AA. All are prayers go out to this young lady, her family, and her school from Forrest High School, 2006 Class A State Champions.

This is the stupidest post I have ever read. 5 on 4 with a 40 point lead. Rather than let this happen to his girls (or her girls, I don't know) They should have just pulled their 4 and went home. To humiliate a team like this is...well...its already been said. And the old saying is true....What goes around comes around. And it may not be this team. It may be another team who will take up the cause and rip you to shreds.

I don't think you will see the MVP come out of Forrest this year because they are so deep with talent. It's hard to be THE impact player when you are able to sub 5 players at a time and not miss a beat.

Either one could stumble but Forrest and Jackson Co are both expected to be there. Opps my mistake. Thought I was still on the girls board. Forrest and Jackson Co have a shot.

Didn't get to see this one but listened to it on the internet. Sounded like the girl that took over this game early was Summer Wagoner. I've seen Forrest play several times this year and they appear to have three strong lines to put in. They are very deep and will be a force for a while to come. I've seen them sub 3 or 4 players at a time and not miss a beat so your comment that Forrest could not make the same adjustment is just plain stupid. Poo Pooing the emotional impact of that game to the players and former State Championship players is the sign of a jerk. Of course someone has to be a jerk so your elected. The Summertown game mean't nothing in the standings but it mean't the world to the players and former players. Forrest could win the gold ball again, and so could Summertown. Go cry your own river.

I said perceived which is making the SAME assumtion that mphstigerfan made about Jackson Christian recruiting. Personally I don't think Columbia Central has anymore talent than anybody else.

Wow, mphstigerfan I've watched you post on Coacht all year and always with a lot of class and a lot of fun trash talk. But that last line in your post was totally uncalled for and a real embarassment for a really great MP football team. I don't know if JC is that much better or if MP had an off night. It happens to all of them as you can see by all the #4 seed victorys over #! this year. Also remember it is preceived by the Maury, Marshall, Bedford, and Giles Co schools that MP gets all the players that can't make the Columbia Central team.

They won by a 2 point conversion. Not exactly running through their defense. Take the mans advice, show some humility in a great performance by both teams. MP has got to quit getting those penalties.

You can't do away with AAU. AAU is travel ball just like baseball and softball. It has no affiliation with school but it is the best stepping stone to getting recruited.

All the programs I've seen the players do not go to the next sport until their current sport is over. Forrest softball last year started the season missing five or more players, mostly starters while the girls basketball team won the state title.

That would create way to much travel expense for these schools. It would also mean the traveling team would have little to no fan support. Definately home field advantage. The one change I would like to see is NOT having officals from your region. Game officals should come from outside the region.

I don't know what the intended purpose of the long FG was for this game, but I remember Forrest trying a 55 yarder this year. No way it was going to be made but it was a much more affective kick than a punt.

Yea if MP could stay onside it may have been different. If Forrest holds onto those interceptions and that touchdown pass it may have been different. Thats why they play the whole game and you have to admit Forrest was once again driving on MP at the end when they threw the interception. If you can't accept that then your living a lie. Is MP a better team than Forrest? Yes. Could Forrest have won last night? Yes.

Now theres a classy winner! Looks to me like the only team in region 6 that didn't get a real scare was Wayne County. Congrates to all the region 6 teams on fine performances last night. Now come on Jo Byrns, your all we have left...no pressure.
