  1. RB ran the ball very well last week vs. Cleveland, at times they have had a very balanced offensive attack. If Rhea's players are looking ahead to Cleveland like the posters on this board then that is not a good thing.
  2. Tyner is good but McCallie will be too much in this one. McCallie 42 Tyner 15
  3. What a very good season of high school football in Chattanooga!!! Isn't this exciting? All three of the top three are very good!! I am pumped for all three!!
  4. I wasn't there but I'm sure somebody will come on here with some type of excuses......such as officiating, etc....
  5. Whether he flunked out or not, Dante Hickey was one of the best high school football players to ever play in the Chattanooga area.
  6. Ughh......remember you can't judge a whole team, fanbase, school, or community on one of it's village idiots!! McCallie is very, very good.......BJ Coleman is the real, real deal This weeks game is going to be great (for fans of the two schools and for fans of good high school football) Ooltewah is good McCallie, Ooltewah, and Red Bank do not and will not play this year Scrimmages are scrimmages and different coaches and programs handle them different ways This week is Red Bank--Cleveland week, those interested, ENJOY IT!!
  7. I'm not a "new RB poster" but I do know that Corey Simpson was not number 4 in high school......and seriously doubt that he would be on here talking....he has no need to "toot his own horn"
  8. You should be excited that there is excitement and hype for the game..........The kids deserve it No matter who they have played, both of these teams are very good and have lots and lots of talent
  9. Brainerd will be a spoiler at some point this year. They have played both Cleveland and Rhea close. Cleveland has got a lot of speed to contend with RB's speed. This Region is gonna be exciting from here on out. Rhea Co, Red Bank, Cleveland are all undefeated. Hixson has one loss and can be dangerous, White Co. is a hard-nosed. It is going to be an exciting finish to the region.
  10. Colleges look at talent.......When they have a camp (which is a HUGE recruiting tool for them) they are looking at kids talent, skills, intangibles etc... Just because an athlete goes to school at a small school or a big school, a school with a brick building or a school with a metal building doesn't mean they are or are not talented......now, playing tougher secondaries will change stats but stats are just numbers not necessarily a measure of talent
  11. RB's schedule gets much tougher from here on out.......It was just weak for the first half of the season..... I am excited that we have AT LEAST three teams in Chatt that are VERY, VERY good and I think can play with the best in the state (McCallie, Ooltewah, and Red Bank).......I think in regular REAL games with officials, clock, real kicking, etc. a matchup between these three teams would be good high school football As much as I don't want to =) I would have to put McCallie on top in the area.
  12. IOWNYOU149 said, "I don't care what division he played in no one can cover him one on one...." That is a VERY BOLD statement. He is good and is good enough to get looks from D-1 schools, but to say that nobody in the state could cover him one on one is hyperbole.
  13. Red Bank has a very good Kicking Game. There was no live Kicking in the scrimmage. Which by the way was a SCRIMMAGE!
  14. Dante Hickey - Cleveland Corey Simpson - Red Bank John Hannah - Baylor Charlie Hannah - Baylor Reggie White - Howard Morgan (the guy that played with Reggie) - Howard Eric Westmoreland - Marion County Steve Sloan - Bradley County Rodney Ballard - East Ridge Daniel Bullocks - Hixson
  15. I think the true question is, will Soddy win a game this year?
  16. Nobody is comparing Ledbetter to Coleman.......Nobody in their right mind would.......all I was saying was that to say "he isn't good he just has good receivers and throws short passes" is not logical
  17. A little early for undefeated talk. The top half of this region is tough.
  18. That was the first time i've been at a game where the 3rd and 4th quarters were cut down to 10 minute quarters as a "mercy rule" type situation..........That game could have been much worse.
  19. Looking at both teams' schedules, Ooltewah and Red Bank do not play each other. They did SCRIMMAGE prior to the season. Scrimmages are not games. They BOTH (Oolt and RB) have VERY good teams this year. And I would probably put Oolt ahead of RB in a poll but your statement was misleading. I believe Red Bank could put up a bunch on Walker Valley, but once you get past 40-0 it doesn't really matter the number does it?
  20. I still can't find anything on the forum that says Cleveland. Can you copy and paste in here........Personally, I don't think it is true.........
  21. Coaches can't teach football instincts though. Also, it is easy to say the coach can teach them football........however, this is not a perfect world and every kid doesn't soak up every word and concept. This is not intended to be about any particular coaching staff, just a statement to those that think this is a "perfect world".
  22. I don't think anybody is arguing with BJ when they mention another QB. BJ Coleman is the best Quarterback in the Chattanooga area. That doesn't mean all others are not good. There are other good ones such as Ledbetter (RB) and Wilson (Rhea). I find it wierd to say Ledbetter isn't good b/c he just throws short passes to great receivers. That is what many, many offenses at all levels are designed to do these days. You still have to make the reads and complete the pass. BJ Coleman is incredible!
  23. Tha't a very good poll, although I would replace Notre Dame with McMinn Co.
