Team Worth Gold is very good and very talented. But come on, playing in an "exposure" tournament in Clarksville and Virginia Beach???????? I have heard they are not playing any qualifiers. But, I also heard they are going to go to a couple of Premier Qualifiers. I really was looking forward to them playing ASA Gold because I thought they would do well.

Thunder 93 beat Chattanooga Fury 94 2 times with the score of 3-1 to win the berth out of the loosers bracket. Does anyone know who put Thunder into the loosers bracket? The bracket wasnt filled out completly the last time I checked. That seems to be a pattern this year. A Fury team being beaten twice by a team out of the loosers bracket. Thunder 93 also has an ex-college coach on the field. Who is coching the Thunder 93?

Good point regarding facilities. The Gold Diamond Showcase is played at a far superior facilty. The Warner Park fields are top notch. The park consists of five fastpitch softball fields with permanent fences and warning tracks as well as a full fledged stadium. That makes for a total of six fields right there together that are strictly fastpitch fields.

Gold Diamond has better depth of teams from top to bottom.

This tournament has been going 'down' for several years. It is NOWHERE near the quality that it once was. Sad!

Alex Everett, IF, Soddy Daisy I feel should be on the list. Not going to bash any of the one son the list but I feel like she had a better season than several of the ones you have on there.

Clifford Kirk is a good coach and has done a great job for a long time. There have been many SD players go on to play college ball. An interesting tidbit is how many of them come back home and stop playing. Not many of them play four years. Some of the ones who do transfer closer to home before finishing up.

Does anyone know a schedule for the tournament. Or at least what time the first game is?

I agree Hooper from Walker Valley, Baxter and Pickett from Marion County will all be strong players. Chernak at Ooltewah is going to be a ver good player in her four years as well.

Maybe I should rephrase, I am proud our daughter plays for Micheal Connell (Worth Gold), dont know any of the other Worth teams or coaches. Cant speak for them. And Div 1 would be UT Knox, UT Martin, UT Chatt, Lipscomb, MTSU, Tenn Tech, Louisville, All pretty good programs in my opinion.Top -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would be honored if my daughter has the chance to play for any of these programs.

Fagan (Cornersville), Nunley (Soddy Daisy), and Renfroe (Trinity) are three of the best I think. Vincent is good but not in the category of the three I listed. Hoadwonic (sp) is good but not in the same category.
