  1. Congrats to Coach Wormsley and the team and good luck in Memphis.
  2. I knew they were legal, but thought it odd the way the TSSAA can limit the number of innings one way and then can let a pitcher throw unlimited innings another.
  3. Aaron is a big strong kid and 127 would have him below 12 per inning. That is way below the average for a high school pitcher. Now add his warm up pitches each inning and before the game and the total goes 200+ Another poster reminded me of the TSSAA rule that a high school pitcher can't throw 10 innings on consecutive days, but 11 is fine in one game.
  4. and a signee of the University of Tennessee threw a complete game (11 innings) yesterday in a 1-0 win over Gibbs HS. Aaron had 20 K's in the game while throwing a 1 hitter. Aaron also scored the winning run for Loudon. All this sounds like great news, but at what cost? 11 innings = how many game pitches + warm up pitches? Sadly some coaches just never get it.
  5. I had to work..... Any details on the game, pitchers etc. Thanks
  6. Coach Froning is a fine coach and Oak Ridge is lucky to have him. Those of us that have never made a mistake can throw the first stone, otherwise let's just move on....
  7. Here is the article from the Oak Ridge newspaper on the game: Link... On the field, OR downs Halls and the follow up article on the TSSAA decision: Link..... According to history, 'Cats will get a loss
  8. It looks like Halls moves and stays undefeated in the tournament. I was at the TN/SC game and missed it so now what games and teams are left and what time are the games??
  9. I believe Spradlin is going to Cleveland State CC
  10. Just a thought, but isn't Diane Psihogios the "Principal" at Powell??? Isn't Kim Kallenberg the "Assistant Principal" at Powell??? Where were they when Danny was last a head coach??? If Danny wants the job, I hope he gets it.

  12. A good job by Coach Cox and staff this year. He can cap it off with a trip to the Region tournament. If I remember correctly, the last time was when Brian Lovett (ETSU) was all everything for the Bobcats.

  18. Grant Escue was a member of the East Tennessee Stars summer team that won many games. A number of those players now are on the Knoxville Halls high school team.
  19. I told AdDad25 last week that I had to work Wednesday night, so sadly I will be a no show. Have fun, I'll miss being there.
  20. Ouch! Well, so much for my thoughts. Where is the district tournament played this year?
  21. coachfro, Halls wins in 5 innings today as Daniel Larson throws a one hitter. Final score 10-0 I'm not sure of the number of K's, but Daniel had a good number. It was my first time seeing him pitch this year and he has improved greatly over last season. I talked with one scout and also saw Coach Simcox. I assume Coach Simcox was there to see Jeffery Lockwood.

  25. Congrats to Coach Doug Polston and the Halls team on the good tournament showing against some quality teams. Coach Polston doesn't often get mentioned and he does a great job. thumb
