  1. Morristown West James 'Little Man' and Scottie Stewart Drew and Wes Southerland Bob and Ron Howard
  2. Jefferson County's Chris Shiver(&Shake)decker As a sophomore, rushed for over 1,700 yards and 20 TDs.
  3. Can aynone gimme the 411 on the Trojans and how they'll be in 05. Thanks and Much Love!
  4. GC has done a great job with the Bobcats this season. No one expected them to come close to 10 wins in ;05, yet they've already posted 14 going into the postseason. A lot of the better athletes at Central don't play baseball. What GC does is take the kids that love to play and makes them the best they can be. Before this season, he'd never been seven innings with Halls and he took them to the limit a week ago before falling 11-6. Also, his squad forced Coach Polston (sp?) to change pitchers in the middle of an inning for only the second time this season. I hope that GC keeps up the good work and brings success to Bobcat Baseball.
  5. Boys and Girls, No list of the top catchers in the great state of Tennessee should be without Morristown East's Trisha Massenzo. Three-year starter, Lakeway Player of the Year as a Freshman! Great Bat; Even Better Arm! Word!
  6. I thought the All-Tournament team was right on the money except for one pick.....How could Cheokee have someone on the team when they didn't win a game in the tourney? Forney deserved to be on there as did Rickard from JCHS. Can anyone explain why Forney and Rickard were left off the team?
  7. I can see JCHS pulling an upset over M'Town West...but Cocke County will fall and fall hard to M'town East. With no Camichael, the Cocks have just one bullet - Buckner. The 'Canes by 15.
  8. Yes, RaiderRay. My fault. District Two's best versus best of District One.
  9. In my humble opinion, here's what an All-Star team from Region Two would look like (taking at least one player from each team). Greeneville Meagan Lyons Nakiasha Manuel Jefferson County Ashley Huff Ashley Kyle Lindsey Lyke Morristown West Ashley Gray Summer Phipps Cherokee Ashlee Price Cocke County Megan Lindsey Morristown East Lindsey Ely Size - Manuel, Huff, Phipps; Speed - Lyons, Kyle; Defense - Lyons, Huff, Kyle, Lindsey; Shooting - Lyons. Kyle, Lyke, Price; Tougness - Ely, Lindsey Thoughts on this?
  10. IMAC's All-Star Squad Greeneville Andrew Shumate Tracy Champion Jonathan Murner Morristown East Daniel Deaderick Kent Basile Cherokee Anthony Wynder Morristown West Dustin Guthrie Jeremy Smith Cocke County Korian Buckner Jefferson County Jason Deering Maybe the only weakness on this squad would be a lack of a quality point guard. Deering, Guthrie or Deaderick would do a good job. The size (Shumate, Wynder, Champion, Smith); the speed (Deaderick, Guthrie, Buckner. Deering); the athleticism (Murner, Wynder, Basile, Deaderick, Guthrie, Smith, Buckner) and the shooting (Murner, Guthrie, Buckner, Deering). One might suggest this proposal to a coach and see if it can become a reality. BTW - My sleeper pick for the IMAC Tournament title is Morristown West. Larry Hurst has done a great job of getting this team playing together rather than individuals as they've played the last several seasons. Cherokee (playing at home), Greeneville (Big 3 of Shumate, Champion, Murner) and Morristown East (quality defensive squad) have legitimate shots at the crown as well.
  11. PT Sports Writer, Did you cover the game or was your boss there? I saw Steve Wilhoit covering the game for the Tribune.
  12. Red Upset, I think Hurst will get C-OF-Y award. Wynder is P-Of-Y (Hands Down). Agree with Decker & Dag = best coaching combo. Who wins the IMAC Tournament? Let us know!
  13. West normally has a strong team; East doesn't. But it seems both programs have fallen on hard times this season. Anyone have an answer?
  14. The IMAC has a lot of talented freshmen, Cherokee - Ashlee Price, Asia Avery M'Town East - Tasha Morrell, Heather George M'Town West - Kim Seay Greeneville - Rachel Collins JCHS - Katisha Mattison, Laura Potts
