My bag, you are right, 2007 was home & 2008 was at Fulton. I didn't realize Cozart was that fast, he looked like a 4.6 guy when they played Morristown West. I think T-Howell has better moves than Cozart & and he is alot quicker coming out of the gate. If Cozart runs a 4.4 he alittle faster than T-Howell. This is a good non- conf game, win or lose, it will make us better.

Fulton came to Mo-Town in 2006 & had their way with Morristown East. East,s had alot of young guys playing that year. In 2007 we played at Fulton, very talented team with alot of young players. We held out 3 of our best players, to make sure they were 100% for Morristown West game following week. T-howell is our best player, we really missed him in that game. Our center didn't play either, I think we fumble 6 times had a punt blocked & had 1 fumble took back for a score. I am not taking anything away from Fulton, they made the breaks. I think it rain that night, both teams had trouble with the wet ball. We match-up speed & had more size than Fulton last year. It sad we couldn't put our best players on the field that night. Fulton still could have won, but I like East chances with T- Howell & our center playing. As far as Austin-East goes, you maybe right about East's not seeing that kind of speed.(Fulton 2006 was do much) Morristown East Runs the same offense as Catholic, with more speed in the backfield. If our Offensive line can make some holes, Morristown East will have a chance. Go Canes!

What about the Morristown East vs AE match-up in week zero, on the Turf in Mo-town? Morristown East has some really good size on the o-line & great speed in the backfield. I know AE has speed, what about their size up-front? It will take about a Quarter for AE to adjust to the Turf. Our turf is great but, it can be a little bounces. Have a safe trip up. Go Canes!

I think the Dead Period has started, so when will the guys start-up for fall camp? Will the Showcase games of Morristown East vs AE & Morristown West vs Fulton be on TV? I know in the Knoxville area, their will be live high school games everyweek. Note:(both games will be played on Sat. of week zero) GO CANES!

Who is working with the offensive line? This will be a big key, if we want to make a run at a State Championship. I know it was a spring scrimmage, but I felted we missed too many blocks. Guys work hard this summer, listen to your coaches, and finish each block like it was your last. Morristown East will have one of the best backfields in the whole state of Tennessee. GO Canes! 1) Improve offensive line play. 2) Bring along Ricker at QB, so T-howell can play other position.

That a good start on scrimmaging Sullivan East & Bearden. Bearden should be vastly improved team this year, should be a good test. Sullivan East is a mid level team, How will scrimmaging them make us better? I hope we can get a scrimmage with the Oak-Ridge or Maryville. You have to play the best to be the best. GO CANES!

This is really sad, that both brother could'nt play for the same Team. At this level, playing freshman will get you beat. If a freshman is good enought to start on the varsity, your football program is in real trouble. How many Freshman has Maryville played or started? I can not think of one. We are not talking about 2A or 3A football. 5A & 6A is just too big a jump for most freshman. I agree that it benefits the young man to wait a year before moving up. This just show how far East's program has come from. In years pass, we would have to move a player that talented up. I wish him the best of luck on the bench at West. Morristown West has never moved up freshman.Go Canes!!

I wonder what this hazing incident ,will have on team chemistrie. I hope the young man who was hazed, can forgive them. I am really glad you didn't name any of the young men, I would say most of them are sorry it ever happen. GO Canes!

What happen in the weight room? I read about it, in the morristown newspaper. I was really looking forward to spring practice & see how this team looks. What is the biggest concern East's will have, for the 2009-2010 season? GO CANES!

We really need Cody Ricker(so.) to step-up. He needs work on his footwork when he passes. Maybe he can get into GA TECH summer Camp, send T-Howell too. If we can keep improving our passing game, like this year, lookout. schedule for next year is alot harder than 2008's. We need to work really hard in the weightroom too get ready for next year. This could be the best Team Coach Hatcher has had. I just want to thank Coach Hatcher & his Coaches for putting Morristown East back on the football map. As a fan, it fells really good, knowing we have a chance to beat anyone we play now. Alot of talent is on the way, just keep doing what you are doing & we will get that State Championship. I am so proud of the Coaches & players for Morristown East. No one gave us a chance in this game. Great game to watch, we had our chance on 4-down on the 10 yard line. T-howell is a great player ,but he try to do to much on that 4th down play. We only needed 1 yard, cut it up sooner. By dancing around for the big play, it aloud Sullivan South to make the game saving play. Do not fell sorry for Morristown East. We have alot of great players coming back next year, #33 #2 #23 #28 #40 #10 #38 & alot of offensive & defensive line. We have some really great players coming up from our freshman team. T-Howell will be our QB next year early, than give way to a up coming Freshman #15. If this Freshman can spell T-Howell at QB, we can use T-Howell like this year at RB, WR. T- Howell & Matt Helton will be our leaders next year. Work hard in the weightroom & the classroom guys. Morristown East's will be a player in next years new 5A football class. Sullivan South is a very good team, I wish you guys the best of luck. GO CANES!

Keys to the game for Morristown East win: 1) Turnovers, none or atlease even. 2) Morristown East running game, must control the ball & score. 3) Must tackle well, make South score the long way. 4) No Special team break downs. We must take something away from Sullivan South, The run or the pass? I think we need to load the box, play man to man with our DB's, and hope are speed carry us threw.Go Canes! only 2 more days, I think we may get alittle break with the weather.

I know the cheifs play 8 men in the boxes. They have been lit-up all year with the pass. East's threw for over 200 yards against Cheifs, and we are a running team. Cheifs have Avg. speed at best in their DB's. Just about every 5-rivers team, could get deep on them. We have more speed with our DB's. Wet weather normally hurts the team that pass the ball more, timing problems or footing trouble. You maybe right about it not hurting South, but it's hard to throw a mud ball. My main point was, that the weather could be a factor in the outcome. GO CANES!

I just cannot wait until Friday, Just too see how good Sullivan South really is. I just fell that if East's plays their game, We will win. We know how good South is, we have played them the last 2 years. Both teams have alot of weapons, it will come down too turnovers & big plays. The weather could hurt both teams. If it rains, this could hurt South passing game more than East's. With this game being played on natural grass, the whole field could become mud. GO CANES! Note: Canes fans, it's ok to think your team will win. We have to believe that we can win. When we played Greeneville, no-one on this message board from East's felt we would win. That goes for me too. I knew if we kepted turning over the football, we would lose. I am not going too use turnover as a reasons we could lose. If South is better, they will win. I really do not like what's going on here. We have 1 mom from Sullivan North "said Morristown East plays dirty, and every nut around here, has a story about East's. We have played Sullivan South 4 years in a row, I am sure if their was any type of dirty play, why hasn't it come out before? I know for sure, Coach Hatcher would not put up with any player playing dirty. As a Fan & one who has had a son play for East's, would not have it. We want to run a program like Morristown West, Maryville & Sullivan South of the world. This is one of the problem with these type of boards, One person can ruin a Teams name ,because of 1 game. The Ref have to control the game, if players are playing dirty, kick them out. Now back too the game, Will a South Fan give me a reason why they thing they will kill East's. Were are the True North fans, please give a honest take on next week game. GO CANES!

South is a good team, but why do you guys think it will be a rout. If the chiefs can rush for over 200 yards, why can't East. No one all year has stopped East's running game. Morristown East has been it own enemy, with all those turnovers. If South spot East's 14-0 lead, lookout. We are whole lot faster than the Chiefs. Our defense has been good all year. If we can keep the turnover even, we will have a chance to win the game. I would like too know what North or Chiefs think of the match-up. I calling on a upset! I am talking about the 1st half of the game. The game was 7-7 when greeneville scored to make it 14-7. East's is on the move, we fumble inside the 20 yard line. Greeneville drive the length of the field & score again 21-7. East's is on the move again, T-Howell breaks off a 30 yard run. Next play we fumble on the 25 yard of greeneville. Both fumbles, we were in scoring position. After half time, Mr. Hall break a couple of tackle, and is gone. 28-7 gameover, Greeneville wins. I hope Greeneville wins next, Go Five River!

This is really sad, a Mom would get on here and talk about playing dirty. How many times did Your Raiders get flaged for late hits? I could hear the bad words coming out of the North players mouth, he got flaged for running his mouth. How many times did the ref throw a flag, when East's broke a long run? I will agree that the ref lost control of the game, but which team had the most personal fouls? I just think you are mad because East's whipped North butt. Ask any team we have played this year, and the will tell you East's plays with class.

I was at the game, How many late hit does a team have too take. # 10 for the Raiders kepted getting flaged for lated hits. Talk about the Ref....., the must have come from North. Everytime we break a long run, the would throw a flag. Why throw a flag 15 yards down field, when the play was on the otherside of the field. Morristown East's has allways played with class. You need to be watching you team a little more. I hope #5 is ok, He played a good game.

We seemed to play Sullivan South well. The last 2 playoff games between these two teams, East's jump out to 21-0 lead. We were good enought 2 years ago to hold on to our lead, and win the game. Last year, South was just too good on offense. We started turning over the football & Sullivan South defense got adjusted to East's speed. They put 8 people in the box and forces East's to pass. We could'nt pass at all last year. South won the game going away. This year, East's can pass the football. The only team Sullivan South has played with East's type of speed was Greeneville. We both have played Greeneville, We had one of our worst Defensive games all year. We missed tackles all night long, which let Mr. Hall pop us for over 200 yards. We rushed for over 300 yards against Greeneville, we just could hold on to the football. All reports is this Sullivan South is better than last years team. I hope we can give you guys a test next week. If we can keep our turnover even, we will have a chance for the up-set. GO CANES, BEAT SOUTH!

I think the offense returned 7 or 8 players. Had to rebuilt the defensive line, but still returned 7 starters. Turner was our QB last year before he got hurt.This year,T-Turner has really turned it up the last few game, he could be the different. Morristown East's is mostly a Juniors ladden team, our whole backfield will return next year. We have more speed on offense & defense this year. Our main problem all year, has been Fumbling the football. Most of the fumble come when we our trying to get extra yards. I hope we get a chance to return to Sullivan South this year, but we will need too beat North 1st. Looks like rain, That could be a problem for East's. We our 0-2 in rain games. GO CANES!
