Should they be punished and not earn what they have worked for because they do well each year and they live within 30 miles of another good team. I just don't understand the reasoning behind the change. This "Let's give the little guys who never get a shot at the State Championship a chance" is crazy. Why don't we make them work for it and not give them anything they don't deserve. As for coaching, all but one of the Bradley's coaches wrestled for Bradley, and grew up in Bradley County. The same goes for several other schools around here. I know a few schools have contacted some of the assistant coaches from Bradley about a head coach position, but (Thank the Lord) they have decided to stay. It might make a difference but by the time we see it the TSSAA will change it all again.

Just throw all the names in a pot and draw for it next year. That way all the wrestlers who slept until 11 all summer will have the same opportunity as the ones who were at the Y at 5:30 or in the practice room at 6 have. After all they deserve it. Hard work pays off. What are we teaching our kids?

I agree, you will need to beat everyone to win. The only thing that might change would be the second place team. I have never seen anyone wearing a shirt that said Second Place Team in State. But it is a thought! I wonder if they would sell?

It was announced at the Bradley/Cleveland match, Soddy defeated Ooltewah, so Ooltewah will wrestle Cleveland Sat at Cleveland.

I agree, with the wrestlers having to weigh in they are limited as to what they can eat. I did not see many wrestlers downing hotdogs, well at least not until late Saturday!

I would think they are losing more money by having it Wed/Thur/Fri than they lose by allowing wrestlers to bring in water and fruit. I wonder if the prices will be increased because of this.

Witness his more than $100,000 donation to Bradley??™s wrestling facility. The Wrestling Practice Room at Bradley High was donated by Jones in honor of his parents, W.A. (Bill) and Virginia Slaughter Jones, both graduates of the school. With Jones??™ help, Bradley is perhaps an even more formidable foe now than back in the day when he wrestled against them, as evidenced by their many championships. I believe Mr. Jones donated some but Toby McKenzie donated the majority of the money for the building. It is call The McKenzie Wreslting Building. Not 100% sure but abt 99%. No matter what the amount, I am sure they were happy to have it.

What would you do it you walked in your den and found some high school boys hands all over your daughter in some of the postions the wrestlers get into? Does it make it ok because they are on a wrestling team doing it in font of several hundred people. I am not for it. I think the girls should wrestle girls and they guys wrestle guys. And if you are going to have girls wrestling teams then add boys volleyball teams. Play in the spring and make it sand volleyball.

Sorry BCB, I am not into that Bradley/Cleveland thing, I am into wrestling! We go to both teams matches and even other schools! We just enjoy the sport. I did not mean to take anything away from him! I just thought Disney's match was impressive. I pull for Cleveland (as long as they are not wrestling Braldey).
