I have gone this whole season without posting a message on here for the simple fact, some of our football players got carried away with it and I didn't want a freaking message board on the mind of the team while we were at practice or on the court. Last night we got beat. Period. Our defense looked like we were tired all the time and after the quick start we got our heads down. There is nobody to blame for the game and its outcome except for us. Not taking anything away from Greenfield at all, but we contributed to them looking well alot as well as them making us look bad at times. But I'm going to go out on a limb in saying that Balla777 don't play basketball, therefore you assesments of the game are completly irrelevant and your remark about us being a below average team is almost funny, being we played as poor as we did and still had the ball down 9 late in the 3rd. We have also beaten some quality teams and gave others all they wanted. I would like to know about our "several players" with an attitude problem and how you get we are uncoached and undiciplined. Sure, last night I was talking on the court, but none of it was even talking smack, it was all pretty much conversation with Brandon and Clint. Maybe you should move down on the bleachers and make a better assumption of whats going on. Hicks is not a dirty player, he is far far from that. I know of a few "dirty" players we may have and he sure isn't one of them. He is one of the players we do have that just simply plays hard and avoids all of the extras in the game most of the time. Sure, like Vaughn said, its a rivalry game, you are supposed to get a little rough, but none of anything last night was just a cheap shot with intentions to hurt somebody, on both sides of the ball. I admit that last night the fouls were excessive on our part towards the end of the game. I wasn't in however and I do know that coach didn't specifically tell them to foul only to goto an all out press. I fouled out last night although 2 of my fouls I wasn't anywhere near a foul, however I'm more than sure there were 2 more that could have been called. I want to congratulate Greenfield on last nights team and I hope that we can meet up again. Good luck to them in the rest of the season. #10 greer

Gibson Co. outplayed us simple as that. We were down 5 going into the 4th and had a few players foul out along with missed shots to go along with them hitting their free throws and it got ugly quick. However I think the loss helped us out by sort of giving us a wake up call and I am very please with how we responded by beating Halls 84-73. We had them down 20 or so a couple of times but could never seem to put them down and out because of their streaks. We turned the ball over 20+ times i know with 18 coming in the first half alone. We still have alot to work on but hopefully we'll be ready to make noise come tourny time.

Mitchell isn't in 1A

The call was legit in the fact that the kicker was hit, however the kick was blocked. The explanation given to Coach Counce was that the player blocked the kick but still roughed the kicker. The delay was over the fact that you can't have a roughing the kicker call on a blocked kick, but none of the officals waved the flag off and the 2nd kick was good. It was a great game although D-burg's defense brokedown. good luck to them in the playoffs

dhbb - Where you at the game? There is no denying that the officiating was pathetic. "The catch" didn't even happen in bounds, and the interception towards the end was blown dead before either player was down. With all that being said - I don't think that you can look at any game and say the refs beat you, although had those two plays been correctly ruled along with a couple of spots, you can present a legit argument that the outcome would have been different. West Carrol is much better than I thought they were and my hat goes off to them. But had South Fulton came out and played a little better earlier, much credit to West Carrol on their early defensive and offensive intensity, the game should have never came down to the poor officiating. I feel that this game is the best one of the best chances for us to build off of something. SF played sub-par ball (some because of WC) and still was in position to win the game, and should have for that matter. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs.

not once have we ran the score up. coach wood has a 30 point rule and every game he has stayed with that. as soon as they get up 30 the subs come in so i do not consider that running a score up. HOOPSKWAD

How are you going to tell me how much my boy weighs. He and I lifted weights together all summer and I will promise you that he is the strongest 130 pound back you'll ever see. I'm not saying that he will run wild against WC but he, along with Minor and Maynard will expose a defense some how. Alford don't weigh 130. Alford is 5'6'' and weighs about 160. I ain't saying that he is a big dude but for the people who don't know him or never seen him you make it seem like he is a midget or something. He is very strong for his size and is about as solid of a back that I have seen. I was just pointing out your sarcasim for the people who haven't seen him. I know about him and his plans for college but its not my place to put his business out like that. Can my boys get any credit now? They beat Halls in every aspect of the game. The score was 32-14 and Halls coach called 2 timeouts in the last 10 seconds. Next week I'm sure we'll get waxed again like we always do. Michael Alford lacks 11 yards to reach 1000. This ain't M/A anymore, he was using my name, and he made a simple post requesting football players not to say anything and then this turns into a thread about last night, I'll be the first to say that alot of people from SF put their foot in their mouths, but dang, can't my man just put a message on here showing his senior leadership.

I am from South Fulton and I was on here supporting our guys and even predicted a win. Sorry I didn't rush to my computer last night, I just happen to think of something better to do. However, last night we just got beat. Simple as that, sure if a few plays would have went a little different the game would have been closer, but we just got beat. I'm sure that our squad doesn't have their heads down, and maybe this was a wake up call for them, getting them ready for the rest of the season. I will be the first to say that Dresden is alot better than I thought they were, however I don't believe that they are a 26 point better team that South Fulton. It seemed to me that we got our heads down to quick and just let down. Yes, I am a complete idiot man. Lets take a look at something here, this thread was started on September 15th. Now I've never considered myself a genius, but that is before we played Bruceton on the 19th. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but even though this thread is somewhat dumb because no team can go a whole season without giving up a touchdown, This was made PRIOR to them giving up a touchdown. If you will read, I've never said that we would shutout anybody nor did i say that our defense wouldn't allow a touchdown all year. So to echo you once more.... Some people are just that...idiots. First off, I'm going to try and keep this decent although some people are complete idiots. The title of this thread is referring to South Fulton's Varsity Team Defense, and yes, i do know that Bruceton did score 1 time against them. That is the only team that has, but I'm sure that there will be more. However, defense is what has helped SF get where they are. And don't worry about the other 10 players and what they were doing, 6 points allowed seems okay to me for a team effort, but hey, maybe i'm just biased. The points to Gleason where off of kickoff returns, and even i'll say there is no excuse to that. The score was 44-6 going into the 4th quarter against Bruceton but then the subs came in. Oh well, we'll see Friday night what both teams are made of. See ya'll at the dance fellas. HOOP SKWAD

Dresden playing in one of the hardest regions is completely irrelevant to them coming in being a better team. They haven't played their tough region schedule yet, so them being better because of competition is completely inaccurate. South Fulton's defense will not get ran over like you are assuming and I'll tell you their defense is much better than you are estimating. Their tailbacks may be as fast as SF's (which I VERY SERIOUSLY doubt) but I would bet Michael Alford, Bubba Minor, and Mitchell Maynard in a foot race with any of them and none of the 3 would get smoked. All 3 are very under-rated and beter not be over-looked. You talk about your 2 players not being stopped, well the big 3 won't be stopped either. See ya'll at the game.
