  1. Not even alittle. I just don't hide behind a screen name, when I speak my mind. Everybody knows where I stand.
  2. Please explain??? Or is it that I just don't agree with you on things?
  3. When I argue with a fool, it only proves that both of us are fools. Real man would stop hiding behind a screen name and speak his mind.
  4. Only 1 that I have heard. Don't listen to the dirty plaque that continues to run down the program.
  5. So who are these cronies??? Who did Murray make mad??? And you have no clue what you are talking about. You just seem to want to run the program down because you didn't get what you wanted. That seems to be the elephant in the room.
  6. I agree, Based on what point? Nothing stopping him from running for a school board position. At least I step up to the plate and swing.
  7. 12 to 14 applied. 5 or 6 interviewed. Why so negative?
  8. No since daydreaming about consolidation!!! Back to our topic. If I had a choice I would make Gentry say no. He has the name and brings experience to your program that is needed. Your other options would be someone like Dyer or even Frye from Lebanon. Both are Smith County Guys that would love a shot at running the program they grew up in. Neither has been a head coach before that I know of but you got to start somewhere. Frye may have more connections for bringing assistants with him. Dyer is from a coaching family and has done well as an assistant at Macon and Trousdale Counties. His dad was head coach for several years after Rankin and was on his staff when he was here. I'm not sure of anyone else that has applied. I know there was several that applied but I don't have names.
  9. Sit in the stands and eat your fritos. Keep bringing those 48 posts.
  10. Maplewood 0-7 this season East Nashville 5-3 this season Stratford 2-7 this season Jackson County 5-5 this season Smith County 4-7 this season What am I missing? No powerhouses anymore. East Nashville is still good and will be the favorite next year but is beatable. The gates will suck because none of these teams travel. Thats why you schedule local traveling teams as nonregion games. This is a winnable region for any of these schools that want to step up.
  11. Don't think it had anything to do with making the wrong people mad. Smith County High School is still Smith County High School. It is still the Hole. It is still the Owls. It is still one of the most prestigious and traditional schools in the area. Smith County High School is still here. We just need a leader that will get the kids behind him. A good leader with good coordinators and coaches can bring this sleeping giant back to life. Go Big Owls!!!
  12. Smith County has a very long tradition. I believe with the right leadership and a few years, this program can be back where it was just a few short years ago. This new region we will be in, some look at it and squirm. I look at it as none of those teams are what they use to be. Including Smith County. It is a perfect time for a new person to step in and bring this program back to life. I want to thank Coach Murray for all he did with this program. Lets keep our fingers crossed that the right person is hired for the job and we get back to our winning ways. We are now moved to the west side of the state per T$$AA, so atleast we wouldn't see the recruiting powerhouse from the eastside till the Championship. Lets keep it on the real for now and worry about a new coach and finalize our season for next year. Go Big Owls!!!
  13. You have to ask them, You just can't please everyone.
  14. @oldsc7I can agree about Ebel's. I will not set foot inside. You can go ahead and change your answer now. lol
  15. @oldsc7couldn't agree with anyone but he sure knows his football.
  16. I keep my eye and ears open to the program, but I got no clue who he is to tell him anything.
  17. I've heard a name or 2 that has interest. Hackett is not. Great coach but he is not interested.
