  1. The Tennessean website shows Harpeth Hall getting beat by Warren Co. 45-31 on Nov. 29. http://news.tennessean.com/hs/preps.php?pa...am=Harpeth+Hall Another poster stated that Harpeth Hall beat Warren Co. Can anyone confirm the result? Also, did HH play Henry Co. on Dec. 3rd as the schedule on this site states?
  2. Briarcrest and White Station will play in the Beach Ball classic in Myrtle Beach, SC this weekend. Here's a link to the results. http://www.beachballclassic.com/stats2002/bbhi.php
  3. I'm pretty sure they didn't play Briarcrest.
  4. I was impressed with how father ryan came back the next day against Briarcrest after what must have been a disappointing loss the night before against ECS. Briarcrest never reported the score to the local paper here, so your posts have been much needed. Thanks!
  5. oletimes44, you'll need to help us west tennesseers with the teams that HH has played. The Riverdale win looks amazing after checking their record out on the site, but I have no idea who the others are. signed, ignorant in Memphis
  6. That's easy to fix, just input the scores into the scoreboard. The only score that isn't on there that you mentioned is the Warren Co. final. There also isn't a result on Dec. 3 against Henry Co. Do you know the scores??
  7. They are beating teams easily thus far. An 18 point victory over ECS is the most impressive so far. IMHO
  8. The ECS victory over a visiting Father Ryan, and Father Ryan's comeback the next day taking out Briarcrest seems to have cleared up (at least temporarily) the pecking order for D2 teams. This weekend Harding and Hutchison will play visiting Brentwood Academy on Fri. and Sat. to further show who's where. S.B.E.C. has played tough in two losses to St. Agnes and Hutchison and then thoroughly demolished St. Benedict. Bishop Byrne is playing strong with a win over Harding and their sole loss coming at Bishop Sullivan of Louisiana. It's very early, but how are teams looking?
  9. Why don't we start a more appropriately named thread for these posts. I'll go ahead and create one.
  10. I'm trying to base my rankings on how a team is currently playing. You might be right that Harpeth Hall and Father Ryan will rise to the top and I am giving FR a #2 ranking based on their performance against Briarcrest, but HH has yet to show me. HH plays St. Agnes on Jan. 3, so that will give us an idea where things stand. Harding fan - I'm sorry that you're getting the idea that I'm "bashing" Harding. Believe me, that's not my intent. When ranking teams this early in the season, how teams finished the year last year and who they lost or didn't lose to graduation have to play a factor. Your right that a lot a factors can change. I'll have to trust you on Harding being a completely different team. I was ready to put Harding in my top ten for the week, BUT the thrashing by Bishop Byrne means to me that Harding isn't there yet. This weekend against Bartlett and Brentwood Academy will give them a chance to show where they are.
  11. This weekend's games should shed some light on where both Harding and Hutchison are in the scheme of things. I don't doubt that Harding is a good team, but with last year's results and the schedule so far this year, they haven't proven anything. St. Agnes is still somewhat of a mystery. I'm giving Hutchison the benefit of a doubt because they did make it to the DII final four last year, they lost only one player, and their coach seems to be a defensive wiz. Time will tell! What's up with Baylor and GPS?
  12. I guess this should make ECS a unanimous #1 in the fan polls. I'm putting 1. ECS 2. Father Ryan 3. Briarcrest (3 losses to tough teams) 4-9 I'm debating between Webb, Harpeth Hall, BGA, Hutchison, and St. Agnes. The won/loss records and results on this site are amazing for researching!!
  13. Emily Brown from Germantown signed with Ole Miss. Brooke Binswanger from Hutchison committed to Richmond over Vanderbilt, SMU, and Miami (Ohio). Samantha Gould from Briarcrest committed to Ole Miss. So far 5 players from the Memphis area Fury 84 (or is it 85?) have committed to Div. 1 colleges, 3 to Ole Miss, 1 to UAB, and 1 to Richmond. More will be committing soon. [Edited by brownhut on 11-26-02 10:05A]
  14. I'm curious as to what will be different on this year's Harding team over last year. They were 11-17 overall and 3-7 in their region bracket. Are new faces coming on board?
  15. Here are final scoring tables for the Memphis area. http://www.gomemphis.com/mca/prep_sports/a...1388924,00.html I'd be curious to see Binswanger's and Ondra's career totals.
  16. Abby Zanone from Hutchison is an amazing defender. Lot's of good freshman on that team.
