  1. thanks for the correct on coach pel. I did say above .500 record.. Not .500 and up. I would image lc plays at least three teams a year that are above .500 maybe more than that when you avg it out since coach b took over at lc. Stats wise the defense was about the same as it has been the past few years and offensive was pretty good. you can say they played a weak sch. this year. But lake co. seems to always play a weak sch. hints only playing a few teams a year with above a 500 record. I just dont see how you can say snow wasnt a good coach at all and yet you seem to love a coach who has done little in his career when it comes to winning games against good teams. You pointed out two wins in a season when they had by far the best talent in west tenn for 1a. I also believe they still finished third in the region that year. How did coach b do at the other school he went to? did he win any big games there? I am not saying he is a bad coach i just dont understand how you think he is better than coach pel or coach snow? talent wise lake co. was not very good this year. Had some young players that will be good as they mature. coach snow had the most players on the team as i can remember seeing at lake co. someone posted they had a bunch quit but still more kids on the team than they have had in the last five plus years.
  2. To answer the question asked by jrice. Coach B in all his time as a head football coach at the highschool level has won only three games vs teams with a record above .500. However the season in which they made it to quaters in the playoffs they came in third in the region and by far and away had the best team. Its not even close and yes they had more talent than jcs that year. I am not sure they would of beaten fa if fa didnt have the injury problems that they had going into the game. But i wont discredit what lc did because it was a win. But still only three wins vs teams better than .500 is not great. Coach pel had two wins against teams with better than .500 record in one season. Coach snow had one win vs teams with better than .500 record. But I thought that lc was suppose to be way down in 09 because of all the talent they lost the season before. Looks like lc will be back to running the veer and done throwing the ball all over the field.
  3. he didnt have a hundred yards last year either....
  4. 38-6 Told ya thanks ... white house hert. watertown rockwood and marion co will be the four wild cards
  5. this post is incorrect... if jackson co wins they will get in over watertown because they hold the tie breaker because they won the head to head match up.... however if jackson co wins and dresden wins white house hert. wins and marion has already won then the four wild card teams will be rockwood white house hert. marion and dresden if dresden wins and watertown loses dresden would be in before watertown and jackson co. because dresden will have three quality wins.... wins over west carroll trenton and a win over gleason
  6. this post is incorrect... if jackson co wins they will get in over watertown because they hold the tie breaker because they won the head to head match up.... however if jackson co wins and dresden wins white house hert. wins and marion has already won then the four wild card teams will be rockwood white house hert. marion and dresden if dresden wins and watertown loses dresden would be in before watertown and jackson co. because dresden will have three quality wins.... wins over west carroll trenton and a win over gleason
  7. they could be if dresden loses... but if dresden wins and watertown wins then they would be out.. if jackson co wins then it would come down between jackson county and white house hert for the last spot and it is to close to call who would get that spot because they would have the same number of quality wins so it would be wins by opponents
  8. to answer it the easy way... no .... if white house hert. loses, dresden wins then marion co will be in rockwood will be in and rest depends on the jackson co vs watertown... if watertown wins then watertown will be in and dresden would be in.... if jackson co wins then it gets hard to explain.... but white house hert. should win so lets just keep it simple
  9. this post is incorrect... if jackson co wins they will get in over watertown because they hold the tie breaker because they won the head to head match up.... however if jackson co wins and dresden wins white house hert. wins and marion has already won then the four wild card teams will be rockwood white house hert. marion and dresden
  10. dresden must win friday and then hope that any of these three things happen 1. white house hert. loses 2 watertown loses 3 grundy co loses if dresden would of beaten halls the only thing they would of needed is to win friday and they would of been in.
  11. this is not correct with this group of teams... if mckenzie wins 1 mckenzie 2 adamsville 3 douglas 4 riverside 5 westwood 6 humbolt if mckenzie loses you were right 1 adamsville 2 douglas 3 mckenzie 4 riverside 5 humbolt 6 westwood however all of this could change if dresden beats gleason and marion county loses or if both teams win and trenton wins vs gibson county and grundy county and whitwell both lose .... that would give dresden the tie breaker vs marion county.. So what is correct if Mckenzie wins DD it makes sense. How would it look with the thought Dresden doesn't get in. it was right i miss read it thats why i pulled the comment.. i missed the explantion of flipping humbolt and westwood.. this is what i said it would be a week and half ago...
  12. this could all change if dresden beats gleason and marion county loses... or if both teams win and trenton wins and grundy county and whitwell both lose because this would give dresden the tie breaker vs marion county.
  13. I am not 100% sure but I don't believe any mckenzie player, currently on the high school team, has ever lost to huntingdon in football game going back to include middle school. This year is not any of those years but i do not believe their is any fear of losing from either team.
  14. "I agree, some things need to change on the offensive play calling. Jamie Williams is the head coach and strickly works with the defense. Your right, we call the same plays every week-----and they do not work. Your would think the offensive coach would catch on to this after 8 games. On another note, there was NO need in McKenzie running up the score. We knew coming in to the game that McKenzie would beat us. Think about the feelings those kids have------also the name calling by the McKenzie players out on the field was so immature. What goes around, comes around........" first of all how many personal fouls were called on bruceton during the game?? At least two were called on the side line and at least one on a player on a very dirty play when he cut block a very good player intenionally running down field on a kickoff.. after he stood up the player from bruceton punched him in front of the ref but he stepped between them and had already thrown a flag.. another player during the play ran in front of mckenzie's bench screaming who knows what at the side line.. I guess he was excited they threw a flag on bruceton i have no idea.... mckenzie did not get any personal fouls... so the comments about mckenzie being unsportsman like is not true or at least your team has more problems with unsportsmanship than mckenzie's team does. mckenzie's goal for the season is to win the state championship period beating bruceton or huntingdon for that matter is not one of concern for mckenzie.. these games are just chances for mckenzie to get better.. mckenzie subbed alot in the second half and played alot of players that dont normally get alot of playing time in the first half. Mckenzie worked at least five kids at tail back the last two series because mckenzie loses all three tail backs next year. so they played different kids there to see who can do it with the jv/ freshman offensive line. not the o line that will be there next year because they are all starters already. to say mckenzie should take a knee with 10 mins to go in the game with freshman and sophmores in the game is crazy.. yes a jr scored the last two touchdowns but he only had two carries... mckenzie is just trying to get better for this year and next... so maybe one day as someone in another thread said mckenzie thinks they are a milan or huntingdon... no mckenzie does not because they have a state championship... mckenzie is avg somthing like 9.5 wins a season since 2000 and played in a state game and three semi finals however those are not the goals; winning the big one is and thats all mckenzie wants to do..
