  1. Hayes only played high school football his junior and senior years. His speed got him a full ride to Western Ky. University through the help of Coach Bill Koen and Paul Jones. Hayes was made an offer to try out for the Canadian league, but turned it down. He is currently finishing his engineering degree at Western. A great kid. Thanks for putting him on the list, Duck.
  2. Former McKenzie high school principal and superintendent Joe Williams played at the University of Kentucky and roomed with George Blanda.
  3. Huntingdon will win it, because Billy Kent Jones is a better radio announcer than anyone Alcoa can put on the air.
  4. Yes, Huntingdon can win in the region. When was the last time Camden won the region. I believe the last time huntingdon didn't win the region was in the mid 90's except for when the rebels beat them in 2002.
  5. To the Huntingdon folks: listening to the Huntingdon - Cheatam Co. game, I did not hear Chris Donald's name mentioned for carrying the ball very much. I heard his name mentioned on defense several times, as he was in on quite a few tackles. I know Hampton and Weathers are effective, but if you have the big man at the trough, why not let him eat?
  6. Late in the 4th, Camden 35, Fairview 0. Looks like another Huntingdon, Camden matchup next week.
  7. Final--Huntingdon 14 Cheatam County 0. Huntingdon takes a knee on the Cheatam Co. one yard line and lets time run out.
  8. End of the third quarter-- Huntingdon 14 Cheatam County 0
  9. Third quarter: Camden 28 Fairview 0
  10. Third quarter--Huntingdon 14 Cheatam County 0
  11. Camden extends their lead over Fairview to 21-0
  12. Halftime: Huntingdon 7 Cheatam County 0 Second Quarter: Camden 14 Fariview 0
  13. Huntingdon will roll in this one. McKenzie has not corrected mistakes the Rebels were making in game 1. Poor kick-off coverage, weak linebacking, not taking the sure points on 4th down, going for the long pass instead of using the short pass to get first downs will make it easy for the Mustangs---as if they needed any help. For a team that has so much talent, it certainly has been a disappointment to not have seen more success. Huntingdon 40 McKenzie 7
  14. I agree Baddog. Luna and Anderson have been the force on the offensive line. By the way, why can't McKenzie solve the kick off return problem?
  15. Congratulations to #8 C Love Jr. and everyone else at M Town West. I'll c ya at the boro. Good Luck.
  16. Is it just me or is that #8 kid from M'town West the best ballcarrier in the state?
  17. i've seen cody hall play on several occasions(i know he used to attend mba and i hung ou there with some of the coaches). if cody hall were 6 inches taller he would be, barenone, the most highly recruited athlete in the state of tennessee.
  18. i have to say that after seeing joe thompson play a few months ago in the father ryan classic, i was quite impressed. he may not be the best athlete or most highly recruited guy in the stste, but he may be the most valuable. the whole game he guarded oakland's best, or at least most athletic player and held him well under double digits. he plays smart, even dirty, john stocktonesque d to get the job done and frustrate the other players. he can shoot the 3 like kerr(i saw hw had 5 three's the other night, and i happen to know he had a broken hand) and he can dish it off like arvenis sabonis. good leader and good defender, something i haven't seen much from these big recruitrs.
  19. i hope you don't play for baylor BMS40, because i'm gonna send your remarks to the father ryan team and i have a feeling they're gonna drop 80 on ya'lls' ######. cause when everett starts ballin and carney gets hot, you thought you were good, but now you know you're not. and when lynch gets to scrappin' and bg's on the bench clappin' you just don't know what could happen. but the scariest thing of all, is when grandmaster thompson gets the ball. he may pop a tre, so get out the way, cause he can do it all day. he might break your ankles with a nasty cross, or swell up on ya like Tony Danza from "Who's the Boss". bottom line boy, when the great white flight they call J-O-E gets the ball you'll see, somethin that'll make ya curse, you'll be callin a nurse or even a hurse, or maybe he'll just take your manhood and leave ya wearin a purse, either way it's simple, the irish will come in first. WHAT?!
  20. the last time i checked mba and father ryan combined have the last 5 state titles. as for baylor...well, i'm not sure when they last won state. so before you start making silly remarks about two teams that are currently on top, make sure you know what the heck you're talking about.
  21. i'll tell ya right now, notre dame will be lucky to lose by less than double digits to ryan. the reason; simple-jt money(joe thompson) he's got the sickest white boy game this side of the mississippi and is being offered at least three division 1 scholorships, but has decided to play for the and 1 ballers this summer and fall during their next tour across america. even though joe can pop a tre from anyhweres on the court, believe you me, he's got the izups to cram it like a champ. the rest of the team is pretty good, everett bills being the best of the bunch. of course, watch yo' back when scrappy dylan "rudy" lynch is on the court, i hear he runs full speed into a locker before each game to get himself pumped up. basically, when jt starts poppin, sweet sassy molassy, it ain't astoppin. holla at ya boy!
