  1. yeah you're way off when you say 7,000. the home bleachers might seat 4,000 -- maybe. i remember having pep rallies out there during school, and the entire school (about 2,000) took up 70-75% of the bleachers. but there probably will be close to 10,000 people there. tentative plans are to put a bunch of portable bleachers in the end zones and wherever else they'll fit. from then, it's standing room only.
  2. that's kind of a misleading stat because i think the post you are referring to was commenting mostly on cookeville's comeback at ooltewah. almost all the games in weeks 3-10 were over at halftime (and most, the first quarter) so cookeville had backups in the rest of the game. then again, this does show the weakness of the region that cookeville was able to outscore their opponents 77-31 with their second and third strings.
  3. yeah, i'm gonna have to kinda disagree with you there. cookeville's three most talented players play in the secondary (wolf, hennigan, stearman). also, i was at the lavergne-WC game, and neither team impressed me all that much. both teams are extremely predictable offensively, and lavergne just flat out plays out of control and out of position defensively. WC should have won this game by a considerable margin, but they couldn't close it out --- which is definately a big concern in the playoffs. both teams do have alot of speed and size, but high school football comes down to execution, and i think cookeville is one of the best all-around executing teams in the state.
  4. zac hennigan is NOT injured; he has pneumonia. A healthy kid his age should be able to shake that off in time to play next week, but i don't want to speculate on whether or not he'll be able to play.
  5. Everyone on here is comparing the best fans to the cameron crazies. Do you people listen to what they say during the games? It's 3x as bad as anything cookeville has ever chanted. Plus, 2 or 3 years ago, the cookeville fans heckeled(ms?) an Oakland player into dunking during warmups, which is an automatic technical and gave cookeville 2 points and the ball to start the game. I defy anyone to find another time when the student section DEFINITIVELY gave its team 2 points.
