Collierville High School is looking for a boys or girls asst coach.

Collierville High School will be hosting a boys dual tournament and a girls traditional tournament on January 9. We will have 6-8 mats set up in the 3 gyms and run the tournaments on track wrestling. Dragon duals will be a 12 team pool tournament and there will be awards given to the top 3 teams. The Lady Dragon Classic will be a traditional double elimination tournament and will give medals to the top 4 and trophies for the top 3 teams. This is a great opportunity to bring both squads and have them at the same location for a full day of wrestling. We will have dual meets on Friday night for any teams interested. Collierville High School will be hosting a 12 team dual tournament on January 11, 2020. We will run 6 mats with 3 pools of 4 with a guaranteed 5 dual meets. E-mail bloeffler@colliervilleschools.org if you are interested.

You might also need to mention the fact that the roof has leaks that are above the mats. A problem for the past 2 years.

As if the December 18th weekend wasn't already packed. The 10th annual Call of the Wild Dual Tournament in Memphis will be held that day also. We already have commitmentments from teams in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Alabama. We are looking for 2-3 teams from Middle TN. We also have a JV dual tournament the night before. There are two great tournaments in December. The Black Horse Invitational on the first Friday and Saturday of December and the Call of the Wild Dual Tournament on December 18.

Cordova High School in Memphis will be hosting it's annual Call of the Wild Tournament on December 19th. It is a 12 team dual tournament with teams from Memphis, middle TN, Arkansas, and Alabama. You are guaranteed 5 duals. The cost is $150. There will also be a JV tournament on Friday night for $100. We have a few spots open. If you are interested contact Brian Loeffler @ lef103@aol.com

Let me clarify a few statements by the Bolton Coach. I am not trying to justify what Beaudry did. The referee's saw it and if they thought it was intentional then, according to the TSSAA handbook, they should have disqualified him. First and foremost Coach Doty and myself do not teach MMA wrestling. I do not know where you have seen our team do this, but as far as I can remember in the past three years this is the first unsportsmanlike conduct we have gotten during a match. I do take offense to the fact that you say we "encourage" this style of wrestling. We have watched the video of the match many times and it appeared that our 171 did elbow Mobley once in the face during a tilt situation. Near the end of the match, it appears that Beaudry's hands do get into the face of Mobley's. I cannot tell if they were in his eyes. Mobley stood up over Beaudry after the pin and opened his hands and flung blood onto our wrestler. There was never an attempt to help our wrestler up. I will be happy to post the entire video on youtube and let the viewers decide for themselves. I get upset with calls and actions of referees, coaches, and wrestlers. But I don't call anyone a dumb*** outloud.

Cordova is AOL in most events, but I see Amos Jones wins a couple of tournaments over the holidays. Cordova has wrestled at Black Horse, Call of the Wild, Tullahoma Duals, Independence Inv., Ravenwood Inv., and the Greeneville Inv. Tripp Thomas is another one to watch, he is undefeated at 215 and has won his past three tourneys.

I have not seen Chris Livingston in the wolfpack hallways.
