I would like to let the players on both sides know that this will be a game that you always will remeber, no matter which team wins you will never forget. I was apart of the 98 dobyns bennett football team that beat oakridge twice in the same season! The win that we had over OR in the playoffs was one of my best memories that I ever had. I was qouted in the kingsport times as saying that I will never forget this moment. Even though we lost in the next round to Oakland the Oakridge playoff game was on of my best memories as an Indian!! I can proudly say that I never lost to Oakridge the entire time that I was on the varsity team, 5 straight victories. This was an achievement that was almost as good as winning a state championship!!! This years team has a chance to achieve the ultimate reward and that is winning a championship. All I want to say to both teams is leave it all on the field, because someone is going to hang it up for the last time. Roll Tribe Roll #45

It would be 650, DB hit 600 wins in 1998, game 5 against oakridge. The first team to reach 600 in the state of TN. The Indians have kept up the winning tradition the last 4 seasons. The program has been around since 1922 when they won only 2 games the first season. I am sure that the mighty Indians will keep the tradition alive starting in Bloomingdale on Thurs. night. Just trying to lighten up the board a little bit, you can't beat the maroon and grey of DB, with the spears on the helmet and tomahawks for big plays!!! I hope I don't make any of you smokey bears mad but Sevier County ranks among the top for the worst with the purple jerseys!!

Jpat, sorry did not mean to ruffle your feathers and get you all excited! I am just stating the facts, DB has ruled the big east a long time, you can call it a dynasty if you wanted to. As for Region 1 being weak, it is the truth there are always two strong teams that come out of region 1 and one of those teams are always DB. It is not an all around strong conference Riverdale's conference is way better than ours. That is why they always go deep in the playoffs, bc they play stong teams week in and week out. DB has tried to schedule some of those teams like Riverdale and Oakland but travel issues always come into play. The fact of the matter is DB rules east TN, when people say region 1 football they think of DB not Jeff County. I hate to be so blunt about it but untill you have a 10 game winning streak over us or compete for championships year in and year out, take your medicine and go on! Whats up Tribe1

DB will march to the playoffs just like they do year in and year out. Region 1 is a very weak region, not to say that their have not been some good teams come out of Region 1. Like the sevier county teams and the OLD Science Hill teams, and of course DB. I look for DB to claim another Big East Conference Championship and possibly have their picture put up in the weight room. But they will not go deep in the playoffs, they are too young and not enough LEADERS!

DB has alot to be proud of! Kingsport deserves a state championship, we proved tonight that we do belong, you can call it a curse or whatever you want but it just wasn't meant to be. We will be back, there is only a few teams that can say that they truely belong: DB, Riverdale,MBA, Maryville, Brentwood, Elizabethon!!! These are the teams that you can count on to reload each year. Congrads to Riverdale you guys truely have a program that is ELITE. I would like to see a regular season game DB vs. Riverdale. Good luck in the Championship. Tribe player 98

Does Riverdale still play their home games at MTSU? If so how do you think the indians will adjust to the turf. It is alot diffrent then playing on grass!!!
