When is the last time Baylor wrestled any Nashville DII team in a regular season dual meet? Oveido HS wont be at the TSSAA DII State Championship.

If you want to tap out put both shoulers or scapulae on the mat and hold. Can you imagine that if everytime someone started tapping, the ref stopped the match? Talk about upset coaches! Big match and team A needs a pin at HWT to win the dual. Team A's heavyweight is outmatched but hits a lucky throw and lands B on his back. B, a former state champion and frequent poster on Coach T, knows if he taps wildly that the ref will stop the match. He can afford a 4 pt nearfall because he is up by 12 points and this kid will never throw him again. My point = Its a tough sport with only one way out....your back. This situation is akin to "Ref I cant breathe!!!! He is choking me!" This situation is often responded to with "You can't breathe? But you can talk!" Stove

I was looking for TN wrestlers at the Penn State Open and found an interesting matchup. It appears that Patrick Simpson beat Darren McKnight by medical default/forfeit. Does anyone know whether McKnight started the match and then got beat up playground style or did he not even start the match???? Congrats to Simpson- he must be drinking his milkshakes every morning.

I thought CBHS and MBA would be equals this year. However, it appears from the scores of this tournament at least that the mommas boys are in a different league than the brothers.

The oldest Simpson and a kid from Sequoayah (spelling) GA. I think his name was Leslie Morrow. It was the McCallie Finals and I think Simpson was a Freshman or Sophmore. It went down to the wire and was Simpson's only loss in high school.

The preseason all puke team goes to the high school whose team bus travels to McDonald's after the saturday morning weigh ins. You always see one team grubing down on biscuits n' gravy in the stands for "protein power". Funny....the chunks in the gravy dont change much after exposure to 2 hours of stomach acid.

I rarely drove the porcelain bus or hugged the can. Although, I often wondered why certain schools, which will go unamed, always ran out of TP after the first round. Always good to carry an extra T-shirt in your bag when cutting weight, so add that to the list.
