  1. No disrespect fellers...BUT the same exact things were said about our game with AE..."Hampton can win, but they cant throw on AE's athletes and they sure won't score more than 24 on AE"...."Hampton can't match the speed and run past nor run down AE".....

And as for AE's discipline, they were a VERY disciplined team against us and against GCA when they beat them.

But honestly, I don't care if its 3-2 final....as long as we have the 3!

GCA is a different monster with many challenges....And if GP can put 40 on em, we're not concerned about us doing what we need to do.....And I watched the GP game, the scoring was not done late and GP shot themselves in the foot again and again and again.

    Respect all, FEAR NONE

I knew you guys would put up a lot of points on AE. They cant stop the run then they get torched through the aire because they have 9-10 in the box. Their QB is such a great player though that he keeps them in any game. Without him, they lose by 35 or more to any good team.

As for this week, Grace has a better defense so I don't think Hampton scores 48, but I see the Bulldogs winning by 14. I think they're the better team.

  2. Just watched the RW replay. Jones looked 100% to me. More than 100 yards rushing another 88 receiving on 3 catches. Rockwood, however, couldn't make stops on defense and had just seven possessions on the night, which didn't allow their offense to wear down the HV defense. Rockwood will have to play better to beat GCA. I did, however, think Rockwood would struggle with this game. HV was a pretty good 4 seed and all RW talked about all week was GCA. They're lucky they held on tonight.

  3. GB had 2 turnovers also Harriman scored on one.GB had A TON OF PENALTIES ALSO!It just woulddnt have mattered Harriman cannot match up with GBs passing game. When Harriman did break some runs GB plyers ran them down from behind,GBs speed and overall talent just way too much for Harriman.Could have easily been 60 points scored by GB.

Greenback did make some mistakes, but General Neyland's game maxim that says the team that makes the fewest mistakes will win. That held true tonight, as it does most nights. I was glad to see Harriman didn't throw in the towel in the second half. The way the first half went and then when Harriman threw that pick to start the second half I thought it was going to be 50-0.

  4. I've been all all-tournament committees in the past, but wasn't on this one. Just wanted to throw that out there because I've had a few people say something to me thinking I had something to do with it. I also don't think I've ever seen a player make the team after losing in the first round. I don't necessarily have a problem with it though if they went off and none of the final four teams had more deserving players, but I was definitely floored when I only heard one player from Grace and none from Oneida announced.

  5. Here's my take. Oneida was the better team in game one, but Rockwood stole it at the end. After that game, I figured Rockwood was the team with the most room for improvement and I do think they're a better team now than then. As far as No. 6, he needs to play like he did against GCA. In that game, he hit the holes hard and got up field. Against Boyd, I felt he danced too much and that won't work against Oneida. He's got to trust that the hole will be there because if he breaks through, no one will catch him. This is the type game where 2 or 3 yards is good because you don't want to be in 3rd-and-long against  either of these defenses. I have no clue who wins, but I doubt the Tigers win this week with four turnovers and I doubt Oneida blows a 14-point lead with 3:55 left to play.

  6. I'm still waiting on Midway to peak. I thought coming into the season that they had a chance to be better than last year, but injuries forced so many kids to move around that they never found a rhythm after the first month, and that led to a lot of turnovers. They are still a very dangerous team, they rushed for 350 yards or so against Greenback last week, but turnovers did them in. If they hang on to the ball, they could make a run at the semis, but they've got to do something in November that they haven't done in six weeks and that's protect the football.

  7. Midway has played a tougher schedule and may very well be the better team but traveling as far as they are going to travel coupled with the fact that RBS should come out intense with it being their first playoff game RBS may come out on top. As I said RBS has 2 winnable games in these first 2 rounds...

Travel won't be an issue. They've made two very long trips already to Whitwell and Hancock County. What will be an issue for the Green Wave is turnovers. They've turned it over a ton this year.

  8. This Boyd team has grown up rather quickly. They are a different team going from Week 0 till now.  We are finally healthy, and the ground game has been clicking the past few weeks. 3 guys can take it to the house at any time.  How is  Rockwoods pass D?

Not sure how Rockwood's pass D is, Strader normally sacks the QB before they throw it. LOL

  9. Harriman's Garrett Greene has hardly been mentioned, but he has ran for 775 yards and 10 TDs in his last four games. Three of those games he carried it at least 29 times. He's one of those kids that gets stronger as the game wears on. Of course a lot of credit goes to his line, but I expect this to be a great game.
