  1. I always like to see how teams dictate the tempo of the game. Temple was a great example of that last year against more athletic teams. So was Maryville.
  2. It's good to see two teams and sets of fans that have the level of respect for each other the way DC and CPA do. It makes for a good environment and atmosphere for the game. Quite honestly the mutual respect that is exhibted keeps people from looking like total idiots. This matchup is what high school sports are all about. Hey 73 call me tonight and let me know if your coming I think I still have room if you can make it.
  3. I honestly feel like I'm watching professional wrassling!
  4. That's funny I bet DC shows up better than your little team. Temple got drawn into humiliation this mourning. Don't tell me you looked at the draw and didn't go OH CRAP!
  5. As I posted before this was my first chance to see the Skyhawks this year. They didn't dissapoint. Hudson is much more than I thought he was. I couldn't believe the game this guy possesses. Not just scoring, he's the total package! He rebounds his position well, an above average passer and he was the best on the ball defender I saw all night. This guy definitely has a future in basketball somewhere. As for Weddle we'll he looked like the same player he was at UC. No transition period for him either. Maybe 2012 OVC Player of the Year? If MJ goes to the Skyhawks and they can get a true bonified center, they could make a serious run at some championships in the next three years.
  6. I'm with you Legend! An off night will only keep it closer.
  7. lol. THE WEST IS COMING, THE WEST IS COMING!
  8. I'm sure you do, but bad part of it is YOU have to play the winner if you are so lucky. At least if you play them first there is a 50/50 chance you'll only play the second best team in the state which will reduce the sting of defeat...a little.
  9. I'm headed there myself. As UTM alumni I'm proud to see the b-ball and f-ball headed in a positive direction. This will be my first game to get to see them this year (i now live in the midstate), hope they make a good showing
  10. Excellent evaluation CPA4ever. Someone did their homework. Your right the contrast in styles is what makes the games interesting. If someone has a copy of this years they need to post it.
  11. How about 5 of 8 gold balls the last two years. HOWS THAT FOR PRODUCTION?
  12. Uh no they don't. UC and Manasass..that's all I gotta say. Oh and by the way I've seen Eagleville play so don't try to throw that card out either!
  13. I obviously have probably seen CPA play three more times than you have seen Dyer County this year. I stand by what I say. A 2-3 ANYTHING might not be the best way to approach this team if their perimeter shooting is where it's been all year. I've seen both teams play, I live in the midstate but I am a Dyer County native. All I was doing was giving an assessment of what I think about the matchup. With that being said either of these teams could win a game against each other. I hope I get to see it.
  14. uhhhh...no. The two teams from west tennessee this year will make the others wish they'd been beaten earlier. So their parents and fans didn't have to spend all that money to get there and they would have only been humiliated by a few hundred people instead of several thousand.
  15. CPA may have to get away a bit from that 2-3 if they play DC, for the shear fact that they shoot the three ball so well. I would love to see this matchup.
  16. Can Jeremy Sexton carry the team on his sholders to a another state championship? He is probably the best player in the state... You can't be serious right?
  17. There will be more than 3000 there I guarantee it. Choctaw nation will be there pulling hard for the Tornadoes and we all know what kind of numbers they bring!
  18. I agree, seen CPA three times this year. That's a very good assessment of both teams.
  19. Because that's what business and non-profit organizations do. Seriously name me a large business, corporation, or nonprofit that doesn't keep books. Plus even though I think the TSSAA in many cases are a bunch of snakes, they are obligated as a nonprofit to post financial reports. Don't you want to know where your money goes when you buy a ticket and if your school is getting their share? I mean you wouldn't want to get CHEATED again would you?
  20. I wouldn't go that far. Haywood and Mitchell could both beat DC. CPA is good but i don;t see it coming out to good if CPA runs (and I mean RUNS) into any of those three. JMHO.
  21. You sound just like your mayor. Always someone done somebody wrong. I got an idea why don't you make your own breaks?
  22. I'm in the boro and listened over the phone for a few minutes DC was up like 9 with 58 seconds left.
  23. Speaking of "your God" I am merely a by product of him which by virtue makes me flawed (wrong sometimes) just like everyone else. However, I feel what I said does hold water. Example, when a coach gives a pep talk to his team, the intention is to enovke a confidence and fire up his team. When he does this at a pep rally it is to do the same thing for the fans. So why is it surprising when you see your coach mouthing and jawing at the other team specifically the other coach it wouldn't evoke similar emotions. Don't think it's to far fetched if you ask me. If this was true then the pep talk would just be a waste of breath.
