red, a little help for your memory bank, hendersonville had seven total either all district or all tournament as follows: Dawn Hellweg, Kelly Louden, Heather Tucker, Kristen White, Casey Teal, Jessie Bain, and Samantha Johnson.

congrats to dickson on their win today over hendersonville, making it an all district 10aaa in this region; looks like either we all overrated 9aaa, or under- rated 10aaa, probably a little bit of both. that's why the game is played on the field. go get'em next year lady commandos, you outdid most everyones expectations of you this year!

good job hunters lane and coach roche. it would be good some day to see you guys moved over to district 9aaa, since you are in the same general area as beech, hendersonville, white house, and gallatin. that would make up some interesting district games. but at least now there is the chance we will see you in the playoffs anyway.

u have to go with the home teams in these games. dickson not only is an excellent team with outstanding coaching, they are still the champs, it does not matter how they did in earlier tournaments or games this year. rossview beat them in the regular season, but dickson took care of business in the district tournament.

hendersonville and beech to play tomorrow at 6 pm for district championship. if hendersonville wins the first game, then second game will follow to decide championship. beech defeated wilson central, hendersonville beat lavergne and wilson central.

home plate umpire said both players have to be held out for one game, unless he is wrong, that is the way it is. let it go, everybody, it will be settled by the powers that be, it does no good to speculate or spread innuendo on this board. it is over, it would only hurt the girls involved if you all continue to post opinions about it. give both girls a break, and fugettaboutit.

actually the winner of the hendersonville-lavergne game will play the loser of the beech-wilson central game. the loser of the hendersonville-lavergne game is eliminated since they both already have one loss. the winner of the loser's bracket will then play the winner of the winner's bracket for the championship. if the loser's bracket winner wins, then there will be a second game to decide the championship. both teams advance to the next round, this game will decide who is at home or away next week.

illpete, hang in there, you get the teams in that these people are talking about, and you will be big time!

illpete, to be a "major" the eastman would need 30-40 teams with 10-12 of the top teams in the state to be there. comparing with cookeville, border battle, hendersonville, etc., it is not there yet. right now, it is mainly a good local tourney although it may have 4 or 5 good teams from elsewhere in the state, jmho, but most agree.

until the state tourney is done, a lot of claims can be made for the toughest district. until then, you can go with who has won or finished well in all the big tournaments this year like the hendersonville, worth, border battle, bob jones, soddy, and cookeville tournaments. there were other tourneys as well, but these were the major ones. if your district teams fared well in these, then you are in a tough district. one team i know lost elimination games to the winners of several of these tourneys!

excellent response coach, what else can be said about this, that says it all pretty much. mchballer, keep in mind that you can't be what everyone would like for to you to be, you have to be what you want to be. you have to be focused straight ahead on your ultimate goal, which it sounds like you are already. don't worry about telling those minor sports that softball is your ticket!

yeah, I guess, gv. We had two good chances but could not get our runners in from third. Y'all had a good chance also when Amber hit her triple (best hit of the game), and got stranded on third as well. anyway, maybe we will get another chance in the next couple of weeks.

gotta agree red, it was a good game, had good drama and suspense all the way. both teams played pretty much the same, had good plays when they had to overcome bad plays, had some good defense, some bad defense (both had a lot of errors it seemed), a few good hits sprinkled in for good measure, and some decent pitching. hats off to beech for making the plays and doing what had to be done to win. hopefully will see you again in the district.

something about the "vice" part sounds like a good fit (lol)

keep in mind that moderators are people too; they are just human, and if something is said against their school, then they will retaliate in kind. I just think there needs to be a moderator from coffee co. just to even things out. what say you era, or rukidme, wanna be a moderator?

congrats to grissom on winning the hoover tournament this weekend, beating pisgah and hoover. freshman pitcher beat pisgah and junior beat hoover. can't get any higher than that. watch out for these 18-U huntsville hurricanes (joined by stellar catcher from tennessee) to dominate this age group in travel ball this summer in alabama and tennessee. way to go coach gary.

all the info on the pools, brackets, schedules, etc. apparently must be top secret; maybe teams will find out when they get there.
