  1. Rossview enters its second season with a tougher schedule than its gruesome inaugural campaign. Preseason includes White House, Cookeville, Lavergne, and Beech. Regular season includes Olive Branch (MS), Bartlett, Houston, Christian Bros., Mt. Juliet, Lavergne, Marshall Co., Riverdale, Beech, Pelham (AL), Vestavia Hills (AL), and Lexington along with District 10 rivals Dickson Co. Henry Co. and Clarksville. Hawks look for tough non-district games to improve them for a district championship repeat.
  2. What is wrong with Clarksville baseball? Clarksville is the 5th most populated city in TN and hasn't had a state championship ever that I know of. Closest one I can think of is Clarksville Northeast about 5-6 years back when they went to the Final 4. Citites like Nashville, Memphis, and Chatanooga have regulars in the state tourney every year whereas Clarksville gets excited about one per decade.Clarksville High has always seemed to have talent, and Northeast did until its talent moved onto newly opened Rossview. Rossview opened last year with a bang finishing ranked 16th in state, but that was due to head coach Jason Rice. Seems to me that Clarksville in general needs to step it up a notch so they don't become the laughing stock of TN.
  3. Henry County has no pitching coming back. Young Archer is the only player who has the potential to match Rossview on the hill. Maybe the young shortstop from last year also. Other than those two, Henry Co. has no pitching to match Rossviews. Boisseau should not see much time on the hill this year anyway due to a lack of a replacement shortstop while he is on the hill. Therefore, pitching duties are given to the same guys who beat Henry Co. 4 out of 5 games last year. On the mound, Henry County is no match against Rossview. However Henry does return a quick, powerful lineup. But Rossviews senior experience (6 starting seniors) should give Rossview another advantage. This is beginning to become a good rivalry in 10AAA.
  4. Lavergne has a shot making it out of the region but w/o Scott on the hill it makes the job a lot tougher.
  5. Henry Co. returns most of their lineup from last year with the exception of the pitcher Hehn. The Stutzman brothers on the corners should put up big numbers and contribute greatly to their lineup. Also, Dickson Co. lost many seniors but they always find a way to win. Outfielder James Gamel at the leadoff spot should set a spark for them. Defending champ Rossview returns all starters but two and also returns two players who sat out last year due to injury (P Tye Milliken and OF Kevin Kennedy). Rossviews Mason Boisseau should win the Player of the Year award. Also Daniel Hightower should put up big numbers in his senior season. Its also been word that CHS has picked a new offseason workout, which has never been done at the school in the past. With all the talent they have and now the new work ethic, they also might have a chance to win districts. OF Jacob Crass should lead them. The big 4 in 10AAA are all very closely matched this year and any team could come out on top any night.
