This event comes to no surprise to me.....i knew about this for the last couple of months....i think it is pathetic that etsu's university can't fund a football team...i think that the AD (Stanton) has never liked the football program at etsu and doesn't even want to give it a chance....No D-1AA football teams make money like the basketball teams...who wants to watch etsu play when ut is playing on the same day?? It is pitiful how the university and the state cant fund this legendary program....i have many friends on the football team and all they want to do is play football...many of them will be transferring after this season...Maybe if they give the football team half of what they give the basketball team people will come watch them play! heck theres more coaches on the basketball bench than there is on the entire football staff!

the main reason for brentwoods success is Coach Pitts! hes already won 3 state championships at science hill...he is a legendary coach, the best in the state of tennessee, and he has just started!

right now it is too early to be debating on who is the best...spring practice for some hasn't even started...all i am saying is it will be jeff co. and DB #1 and #2....i have to admit db does a pretty good job at filling in qb's year in and year out...the most consistent one they've had is butler...right now he is trying to start for etsu...you know he's got a shot, because hamilton is just like spurrier he plays atleast 2 or 3...

i think that without question jeff co. will be the team to beat in the big east....i think they will win the conference....(Houston and Jennings) enough said....then i think DB will be second b/c they don't have any experience at quarterback and they lost mcmillan....i know they have williams but he's not their whole ball club.....Then it will be a toss-up between Science Hill, Sevier Co, and Knox Bearden for third place...Science Hill has an experienced QB in Joslin, he won a playoff game his sophomore year when Hamilton had a concussion....They also have Barcel and Patton....they will struggle at running back though....As for Karns and Cambell County....who ever wins the last game of the year between the two will get their only conference victory!

art, i'm glad that you started this string b/c after science disposes of greenville for the fourth time this year they will have db in the regional championship...and you seem a bit cocky right now....but i will let you enjoy about ummmmmm.....two more days of basketball b/c db cannot top the hill when it COUNTS! Congratulations to DB for winning the district! it was a fluke but congratulations...we will see how you stack up in the region...do you guys think you actually have a chance to win state??? Look for science hill to get revenge! i mean who cares about district? You've got to win region to move on

Jpat, you must be stupid if you don't know that cecil moore has graduated and is on nfl scouts top lists. He will go in the top 3 rounds...And HE (not lamon, will be making millions) A San Diego Chargers scout has already called up coach hamilton and told him that he and many other nfl scouts have been extremely impressed with how cecil performed during the nfl combine...So i urge everyone to jump on the cecil moore ban wagon b/c he is going to be an nfl star...Maybe next year he will buy lamon a car...why don't you go ahead and say lamon is a better athlete than labron James! it is sad to say but many of you think that! and as for basketball, db played a great game but who cares about district if you can't win region...last year science hill was in the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME (something db will never no about)...and they may not make it there this year but look for them to win region!

thats the difference between db and science hill, you THINK they will win, meaning they'll have to pull one out their butt, but i know science hill will win just because we are on a different level and that's why we brought home ANOTHER conference championship.....But we will see! see you at freedom hall tonight! oh well thats a good excuse to use to back up lamon for his incredible performance of 0 yards against science hill...i'd say he wasn't wasting his energy! it just looked like to me that nick bradley and chris patton had him scared and when he gets scared he tends to have a little bit of BUTTERFINGEERS!! i'm not sure about the comment of db's jv beating sh's varsity but thats ok...overall, i think db has better coaches than science hill....that's why they continue to win...you bring a guy like graham clark into science hill with all of the talent around him and you could have a state championship team...
