Ya'll have the prayers of the people in Gordonsville and all off Smith County. I just read the whole story and it was a shocker. Everyone probably remembers the bad accident one of our football players was involved in around February. Reading this just brought back soo many memories. Please everyone keep Jacki and Chad Hunter from Gordonsville in your prayers. This story is a true testament of the power of prayer.

Mr. Wesley was one of the most outstanding people that I have ever had the privalige to meet and get to know. I wouldn't trade the years I played with him for anything in the world. He made playing fun, even in the first year when we didn't win but one game the whole summer, but he also knew (and told us) when it was time to "get serious". Wesley, I miss you so much. I love you and will always think about you everytime I play the game we both loved so much. Thank you for everything.

Does anyone know who got All District for 8A this year?

I'm wondering the same thing......both are very tough teams and I don't think Montery or RBS are at the same level they are. What happened to Hermitage Springs in the tournament??? I thought they were regular season champs?

Rachel Gentry from Gordonsville is #1 in my book. She has been starting since her freshman year (she is now a junior). She has also been batting leadoff since her first year of summer ball (12 and under). Rachel is very athletic. She has awesome coverage of her terriory (as well as a little bit of the outfield) and has a smooth, accurate shot from any position. The best thing about Rachel is she has a great attitude. She doesn't get down on herself or anyone else, and she always gives 100%. Rach, I'm so proud of all you have done and am glad to have been your teammate.

The Lady Saints beat the Eaglettes yesterday by a final of 5-0. They said the MJCHS's pitcher was on her game like crazy! Anyone have any more details?

Smith County and Gordonsville are having a scrimmage sometime in May. All proceeds will go to benefit Chad Hunter, a Gordonsville player, and his family. Everyone come!! It will no doubt be a good game!

Yes, we are tied for second, I don't know how I feel about Westmoreland beating Friendship, but I do know that someone needs to beat them, whether it be the Lady Eagles or us.

All I have to say is WAY TO GO TIGERETTES! Everyone played a very good ballgame, and the middle/end of the lineup lit it up on the scoreboard. I think we came up with 2 double plays also. Keep it up ladies!
