We had our softball party Saturday at our coach's house. He grilled hamburgers, everyone brought desserts, drinks, or chips. Then, since a lot of the girls play volleyball too, we went up to the school and set up the volleyball net. Everyone has a good time, and since the dress in casual (like shorts and a t-shirt) everyone is comfortable.

Does anyone know where Trish White is going? I heard that she was offered a full scholarship to Belmont and she didn't take it. Is this true?

District tournament was last week, and we still have no information on this subject. If anyone knows, will you please tell. Thanks!!!

Does anyone know the final score of the Watertown-Friendship game? I know that Friendship won but by how much and what happened to Watertown? Also, does anyone know the All-District, All-Tourney, and MVP for this district?

We only have one pitcher that is pretty good. Coach didn't want her to get tired and we kind of knew there was no way that we would beat them. So, it also gave our subs some experience in Tournament play too.

We had to play Friendship the first game and lost 10-0 with mostly our subs in. Then we had to play Watertown again. Watertown, coming from a 9 inning 3-2 win over Westmoreland, had the adrenaline pumping. Defensively we didn't play too bad, but offensively we couldn't put the bat on the ball. We lost 6-0. I'mi very proud of all of my girls on the team. My outfield did exceptionally well during the tournament. Also, I don't know where I'm going to be next year without my senior cather and 1st base. I'm going to miss them terribly. I love you both. Ladies, we have got some work to do next year!!

Does anyone have any idea when the 8a games will be played? I heard something today that we may be going to Westmoreland rather than playing them at Friendship. Is there any truth to that?

what about if you don't even charge money to enter your game? our games are played at the county's sport complex and we don't charge admission. and since we don't some people think that we shouldn't be able to recieve any of the so called "luxuries" the football and basketball teams do.

The Gordonsville Tigerettes won a big game today against the Watertown Lady Tigers. After previously getting stomped 16-3, Gordonsville was determined this time. Watertown was ahead 1-0 until the 5th inning when Gordonsville went on a rally. Some key hits by the Tigerettes, as well as some Lady Tiger miscues and walks, put them on top 5-1. Watertown cut the score to 4-3 in the 5th and 6th innings, with no answer from the Tigerette bats. However, one run was enough for the Gordonsville defense as they went out in the 7th inning and got three straight outs. It was a great played game by both sides, but one had to come out on top. Does anyone know if the score on the schedule is right? I think it says MJCA lost 0-1 against Watertown. Also, how did they do against Friendship and Westmoreland?

There is a change that needs to be made on Carthage "Smith Co." schedule. Both of the games with Gordonsville have been cancelled. We, Gordonsville, needed to make up a district game and that was the only date both teams had nothing going on. Thanks a lot!!

You mean to tell me that you would rather play a non-district game than a district game. HA! That was the only time ours and Westmoreland's schedules wouldn't conflict, and I don't blame Coach Leslie for dropping Carthage. I agree, we do need to play teams of that stature, but not when we need to get a district game played. I don't think that Coach D. would play us before playing one of ya'lls district opponents. I wish I could have played against my girls from across the river. We always have a good time playing each other. But it's not happening this year. I'll be rooting them on though as they play our "teammates" from Deklab Co. Maybe we'll see each other next year.
