Overall runs allowed during the last two State Tournaments I'm sure that not all of these were scored in the books as "earned" but none the less were on the scoreboard. Not a very good argument being that pitchers are judged by their ERA. Not sure where you got your numbers from, but "Beech" gave up 29 runs in two years and Banks split games in '08. I am sure that Stinnet would not be responsible for all the runs that "Forrest" gave up either.........

She was recruited as a pitcher............has had to fight a lot of injuries and has a tremendous upside.

I’m confused as to why you would come to a HS softball board & bash, try to make fun of these 2 fine young collegiate athletes like this or any other for that matter?? These 2 young ladies are some of the finest most accomplished softball players to come out of this state in recent times. They both had great run’s in high school, winning multiple state championships at there high schools. They will also do well in college. Are they going to lose a few games? Why sure they will, when competing at the highest level everyone has an off day or some other team has a great day. Most people who know anything about sports knows to be a champion does not mean winning every game that you participate in but to continue to improve & work hard to get better not carrying the off days into the next game. These two young student athletes have shown time & time again that they can do that just as they did this past weekend by bouncing back & winning against a very good Oklahoma team. CONGRATS to them & all the Lady VOLS!!!!.......... & SOUR GRAPES TO YOU???? I could not agree more, but only one of them won "multiple state championships"....

Poll the girls (the ones that "actually" have to play in the freezing temperatures). No sense in talking to the parents. They bundle up in blankets and have kerosene heaters..........

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Not everyone enjoys freezing their ____ off. I guarantee you the girls don't like it.

Kind of funny how no one is mentioning the Nashville Cruisers or Tennessee Athletics in the 16's. Easily two of the best I have seen so far this fall. Both won their respective pools at the TN Fall Exposure this past weekend.

I am quite sure that Gatorade will have a lot of statistics to base their decision on. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, I will just agree to disagree. I have just read in other posts where some people take offense to one player being singled out in the newspapers. People just have to keep in mind that the girls have nothing to do with what is written about them.............just seems like this is giving those people more ammunition.

I hope you got your "vote" in and feel all better about it...... These girls' play should speak for itself. Signing with the schools they have signed with should speak volumes. Good luck to ALL of them.

The coach calls the pitches EINSTEIN. Since we are reading things into people's comments, your comment sounded like you a trying to say Beech's pitcher thinks she is "great". I have been around this game a LONG time and no one is more humble than she is. Be careful how you talk about girls without knowing the first thing about them. Just because some newspaper talks about her has nothing to do with the person she is. Riverdale won the game and congratulations are in order, I am sure they are proud to have a great fan such as yourself.
