  5. Possibly Dickson Co. or Clarksville NE.........
  6. How dare you question CoachT...............
  7. Fire away, I always like a good test. I will agree that, by rule, re-plant and crow hop are the same, but I always considered a step forward "replanting" and a "hop" forward "crow hopping" or "leaping" (both feet off of the ground). Makes no difference, they are hardly ever called in high school. Still waiting for your question...........................but I hate to break the news to you, there are some coaches out there who know the rules just as well as the umpires.
  8. Re-planting is re-planting, crow-hopping is basically leaping. Both are illegal and both are rarely called. Most umpires will let it go, especially if there is a hole in front of the rubber, which I think is a cop out. If your drag foot does not stay in contact with the ground.......it is illegal. Real simple....
  9. That's funny, I see it ALL the time in high school, but then again, I have not read my rule book lately.
  10. If I'm not mistaken, several girls from the teams mentioned in the article had great D1 careers. Megan Rhodes pitched at UT, Jennifer Wright at Alabama and Cortney Mitchell (Arkansas) and later an All American @ MTSU. So much for "no skill or chance". You really should do a little research before making such a comment.
  11. How about "leaping"? When does this not give the pitcher an advantage?
  12. You tell 'em Coach T and make sure you tell Mr. Noitall.................... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. I guess the same thing could be said about MTSU not signing girls from MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
  14. I don't think it is any coincidence that 3 of the top pitchers in the state are on these teams...............regardless of how "skilled" your team is, you'd better have a "skilled" pitcher.
  15. okay....my spelling is a little off....but, I didn't go to Vanderbilt.......
  16. "If know one else understands", nice "Vanderbilt" grammar............
  17. I have also seen them play this year, more than once. Like I said, nice team, but don't have the firepower to stay with GP. And I never said they were 'afraid' of GP......
  18. Sorry buddy, they don't have the sticks to hang with GP. Nice team though.............
  19. Unicoi has a good team, but let's not use the Eastman/Kodak as a measuring stick of how good they are. Their bats do not measure up to GP, it is as simple as that.
  20. Boy, you really went out on a limb with these picks, I will correct you on one note.......if anyone is to challenge GP, they won't be coming out of the West.
  21. Come on buddy, F-O-C-U-S! You must be getting old. Coach Griffin? Beech vs. Goodpasture!.......Although I do agree, Coach Griffin will play anyone.............
  22. ............and I thought we were friends..............
  23. You see my "good friend"? If you would just listen to me, you would not get all these people so riled up!
