  1. If you really want to talk wins from the past it's 2-2 since 2000. I've never said Trezevant wasn't good or that they didn't deserve to win the game because they obviously did. I did say the game was much much closer than you are acting. So don't go around beating your chest like it was a blowout because it's a fact that it wasn't. Keep warming the bench and waving towels
  2. You are obviously an idiot. You won by 5 points that's one score that is not a blowout if you can't tell. And before you post again please go read up on some English because no one can understand your kindergarten lingo.
  3. Your lack of competence is hilarious. After a big playoff win like that you should definitely be excited, no doubt, but to sit and act as if Trezevant is the best in the state is ignorance. They had 2 possessions in which they moved the ball. I'm not sure how much football you have watched but I definitely wouldn't say an offense is clicking if that's all they've done. Defense is a different story because your guys were in the backfield all night disrupting any kind of run game. I've played enough sports in my life to call a spade a spade and not just beat my chest about the team I root for even when they don't dominate as usual. The Trojans were an equally good team, Trezevant just came out on top and got the little bounces that mattered(including the fumble recovery and the missed catch for Dyersburg in the end zone. You need to get off of your high horse and really take a look at the film and see how close of a game it was.
  4. Trezevant's D was good, very athletic but don't sit there and act like they are amazing. I would say that field definitely helps with teams not being able to move the ball against them. Dyersburg had numerous chances to be ahead in that game and it just didn't seem to bounce their way(that's sports and life). Trezevant will get punished in the next round because their offense is garbage. The running back is a beast but the rest is complete chaos and will not sustain against Giles.
  5. Booker T had many calls go their way in the first half. There were a ton of fouls called on Trinity's kids in the first half, number 5 and 11 had 3 fouls at the break I think. I have no bias toward either team because I am not from Jackson or Memphis. Trinity showed a lot more fight at the end of the game and just wanted it more. If BTW would've kept the gas on the pedal they would've never been in that situation and would not be sitting at home for the rest of the year. They sat back and let a team take it from them that shouldn't have.
  6. Milan hasn't been good since the last of the Whites left.
  7. Beavo nice post! I'd agree that all 4 are very good players, but when it comes to best in the state, only PERRY POWELL can be considered. Seriously, the best basketball player i saw in high school. Better than Shawne Williams, Andre Allen, or Derrick Byars. As for other notables: Trey Pearson- South Fulton JONATHAN LOE- Bartlett(unreal) Jeremy Williams- Hamilton J.P. Prince- White Station Tauren Moy-BTW Leslie McDonald-Briarcrest(I think) Reginald Delk- Jackson Northside
  8. no that is run by the white brothers and their cousin i believe. just give me a call and i can talk with you a little more then... if you're interested that is.. i have texts messaging too if you'd rather contact me that way
  9. If anyone want to take baseball lessons in the northwest tennessee area or jackson... call 731-445-9127 for more information
  10. well technically back-side means opposite field. the other would be pull side. when you get deeper into it though when you hit off of your back hip there is no way to pull that ball.. to hit an outside pitch you let it get deeper in the zone and if you let an inside pitch get deep in the zone, then you're beat. so it can be used either way
  11. Dyersburg should be ready to become an every year competitor. They finally broke through the wall last year and have a chance to get something good started with the program. Yes, the program has had some successful seasons in the past, but it's time to start a tradition and get to and also win some championships. I believe the personel is there for the team, it's just going to be decided on whether or not the guys want to get in there and grind on every play. i also think DC has come a long way in their baseball program. PO has become one of the most well-known coaches in the state from his participation with the Tennessee team every year and also being a mainstay in the state tourny. The move up to AAA will probably show a few weaknesses, but the skill set there should have them competing in the near future. These top AAA teams have one thing in common. Usually 2 very good arms to pitch themselves into the state tournament. Games came be won at this level with strong pitching performances. The ability for hitters to stay in their zones usually hasn't been tapped yet, and allows pitchers to control the game because of the swinging of pitches outside of good zones. Anyways, sorry about the rambling, but best of luck to both of these teams. Coach Mathis and Coach Ozment are doing great jobs with these boy. Keep after em
