  1. Guess we will all just have to wait and see.....
  2. No one is questioning the coaching ability of Spears. We all know that he works wonders for the Lewis County basketball programs. Isn't is amazing how these Lewis County threads always get WAY off topic?
  3. BusterJr, you must be crazy to put Slatten's name in on this job. By the way, it is Slatten, not Slatton. He has transitioned to a bigger school and is now settled with a family. He also has no desire or experience to mess with the middle school age. Since there seems to be plenty of help with the boys team, why not break the wolf pack up and let some of the guys help coach the girls. All you would need is a female head coach, then you could have a man assist. Any thoughts about that possibility? Would any of the men on the boys coaching staff be interested in changing to girls?
  4. Sorry to get you so worked up over nothing Warriorball20 , but what facts am I not aware of? True-I don't know that much about McEwen baseball, but I was making a reference to the basketball board when I said how you guys were getting carried away and that is the tone I took away from some of these baseball threads also. No harm meant, like I said earlier, I always pull for small town teams and I wish McEwen the very best of luck.
  5. I am glad to see such a small town show support to their teams, but don't you think you are getting a little carried away? I haven't heard anything about their basketball and baseball teams in years and they win a few games or have a couple good scrimmage games and you guys think that they are going to win the state. I wish them the best of luck because I always pull for the small town teams, but lets be realistic.
  6. When he was playing for the Kings he had a horrible car accident. I believe that he never really fully recovered from it and wasn't able to play at the level they wanted him to. Not sure though, just what I heard.
  7. I think it is a little much to say that there is NO WAY they can lose. Any team can lose on a given night. I am for Perry County and hope they win the state. One thing to remember is that it isn't always the best team that wins, its who plays the best on a given night. I think both teams are pretty closely matched up and that whoever wants it the most will take the victory. Good luck Vikings!
  8. Is she any kin to Janet Holt who played at Moore Co. a few years ago?
  9. What years did Josh play at Lewis County? Was he the red-headed obnoxious guy in the post? If so then I remember him well. He played with a lot of heart and emotion, since their guys weren't that good, he was more fun to watch than the actual game. What happened to him to make him be a police officer rather than a coach?
  10. I'm not real familiar with all of these players from Lewis Co., but I remember a tall, thin guy that played 3-5 years ago. He wasn't that good on defense, but I remember him being able to shoot the lights out. Any help with this? He was a white boy with brownish hair. Any ideas of who this could be?
  11. I hear that Cory has two sons. Even though he is gone, maybe we can look forward to his children carrying on his basketball dreams so he will not be forgotten. Good luck boys!
  12. Chris is currently living in Linden doing as little as possible. He went to Columbia State Community College and played ball for a little while, but was too lazy to keep his grades up and too lazy to play ball for that matter. A total waste of good talent.
  13. Well Knight, I assume that your post was directed to me, but I actually do not understand it. What do you mean by not so nice name? I have been on CoachT for a while and actually the post I made on here was my 1st post. About using Slatten's full name-I was simply meaning that when we get on here and discuss coaches we all know who they are and we remain anonymous. Not to fair if you ask me, I think we should be forced to use real name and it might cut out some of the smart remarks!
  14. I have been hearing really wonderful things about HH coaching staff. I also believe that a team will only get better if the coaches are truely interested, involved, and are eager about basketball. Keep up the good work ladies!
  15. Well Knight, in case you didn't notice this website is for people to voice their opinions and talk about whomever they want to. I just do not see how you can talk about someone talking about an innocent fan when nobody even knows their real name. They have been talking about White Co.'s coach by first and last name. I think it is alright to have a difference of opions. By the way, this site is about HIGH SCHOOL basketball not middle school. I also support any coach that puts time in whether they win or lose. I know lots of coaches and no matter what happens if they win every game or lose them all, you cannot make everyone happy all the time. I think we should just stick to talking about basketball on here. That is if the people who get on here even know anything about it!
