Again I'll say that the all city best of preps will be 80% private and then filled in with a few public school players and the mvp will be Moore or Wilkes (Gossett's adopted son). Ward Gossett drives the McCallie team bus and is good friends with parents from McCallie and Baylor. If there's 9 players, 7 will be private. If there's 12, 9 will be private. Be happy if you even get a 2nd or 3rd team selection from a public school.

I didn't see anywhere in the paper that said Hixson won the dist. Todays paper said in the Grundy box score that Grundy won the district. Also in the "Nights Stars" box that had Woodlee listed it also said Grundy won the district. So what's the problem here?

Isn't it 10 runs after 4 innings? So you can score more than 10 in the 1st 4 innings.

My son played qb for Soddy-Daisy last yr and the Heritage game was the most physical game of the year. That includes our games against McMinn, Oakridge and Dobbins-Bennett. Heritage just seemed to be a player, play, or break away from a good season. That game was a war and I know my son was pretty sore after that one. Good luck to Heritage.

It's 310 down the line, about 340 were the ball went out and about 20-30 feet up the hill is were it hit the truck. Don't get me wrong it was a shot, but it wouldn't have gone out in center, which is 405. It's a strange field being 310 down the lines and 405 in center. It makes for a very large center field, which probably accounts for alot of the dbls and triples hit there. If it gets by the center fielder it goes forever.

Some would be very shocked to learn that most college coaches don't get to wraped up in stats when looking at a player. Because of the reasons stated above. They watch them play, they know if they have a good swing or not, if they can run, what kind of arm do they have, are they a natural athlete, do they have the ability to get better or have they peaked now, ect....

Be careful, sdhs2006, Grad is a good guy and a player that you should hope to be as good as someday.

Look Hixson, I think the main problem everyone is having is that you would even start a thread about beating Howard. I don't recall your threads about beating SD,Ooltewah, Central,ect. You don't see these teams starting threads to brag about beating Brainerd. Come on guys, Brainerd beat Howard. You must be so proud.
