Winslow got in trouble in practice today for knocking the crap out of someone in minimum contact drills.

He said that one reason Eddies productivity declined in Tennessee was because the Titans front office didnt make upgrading the offensive line a priority in the draft or in free agency instead trying to coach up mid to late round picks. He pretty much said the Titans O-line was terrible, and Floyd Rece responded by saying that they had no problem blocking for NFL MVP Steve McNair.

The monday night game aginst dallas is gonna be one to watch. I know Eddie will feel like he has something to prove even though its only preseason. Chris Brown will be trying to continue to prove that Titans fans wont miss Eddie. I got my money on CB. I would say after the coments of Lamont Smith the Titans O-line will work extra hard for CB. I would also like to think that the Titans defense wouldnt mind shutting Eddie down.

We should only keep 2 qbs on the roster and keep an extra tail back.

It looks like it will be a close race all the way down to the end on who gets the 3rd running back spot. I think as of right now Vick King is the front runner and has played well in practice but Payton and McLendon arent too far behind. I do believe all 3 will end up with a roster spot this season either way. If the Titans choose to cut them I'm sure someone else will pick them up.

^ Looks like I might have known a little something. I know it has only been one preseason game and its early to jump to conclusions but Eddie never played like that in a preseason game.

Lamont Thompson said Winslow was susposed to block him on a running play so Lamont gave him a good pop and kind of head butted him and Lamont said Winslow being a rookie and being kind of hyper he didnt take to kindly to it so he started to shove Thompson and then Thompson laid off while Winslow threw a few punches. Thompson said it was a bit hard to swallow but he knew it was for the good of the team so he just took it. I know this is just preseason but last preseason Eddie had 72 yards on 32 carries the whole preseason with his longest run being a 6 yarder. I watched the lowlights of the cowboys game and Eddie was in mid season form. I cant wait unitl next week for the game. I know this is just preseason but not too many teams look that good in their first game. I was also excited when we opened up the game with 2 sacks on the first 3 plays. I think what it all comes down to is that we have one of the best coaching stafs in the NFL.

Coach Fisher said Chris Brown is going to get a good share of the carries on saturady, I cant wait to see how he does. I'm just praying that he stays healthy.

yeah I'm thinking so too. I think more than 1 team will get surprized this season.

Derrick Mason is not getting any younger but he is in his 20's, in his prime, and coming off the best season of his life. I wouldnt say he on his way down hill.

FHS, I agree. Smith is our biggest loss and Calico will make up for McCareins. The Titans will be just fine.

The grizzlies drafted Emmitt as their first pick of the draft this season, how do you all think Emmitt will fair in the NBA? I know he was a very good ball player at TT. I look for him to make some kind of impact.

By looking at all the replies on this thread I have realized that I'm the only one on the board that actually cares about Vandy football.

Jevon Kearse is hurt already. I'm not surprised, it didnt take long. Its a mild ankle sprain thats said to not be severe and Kearse is listed as day today

I agree, whuppin up on a 8th overall pick and who was said to be the fastest dude in the draft is pretty impressive. Hall was amazing at Va Tech. To see Calico take it to him gets me pretty excited.

I didnt make it out to the Titans scrimmage but reports are that Calico had the best showing. It was said that he burnt DeAngelo Hall the number eight pick in this years draft a few times. It was also said that rookie undrafted free agent Vick King ran the ball pretty good.

I'd say Jarrett Payton and Vick King will both put their best effort towards a roster spot. I think Calico needs to have a good preseason to get his confidence up. Chris Brown will need to show his worth.

Our WR's looked really good aginst their DB's. Mason looked really good as usual. Darrell Hill made some pretty good grabs as did Bennett and Eddie Berlin. The WR corps as a whole looked pretty good. Calico had a decent day accept for one ball he dropped after beting VA Tech rookie DeAngelo Hall deep. If Ive learned anything from camp this year its that we got two really good QB's. I would say Billy is the best back up in the league.

Just got back from Titans Falcons practice and the Titans offense wasnt looking too bad. Calico dropped another ball, but other than that the titans receiving corps looked pretty good. Volek and McNair looked pretty sharp. Ben Troupe didnt catch many passes but I noticed him blocking good on a few run plays. I'm not sure how the defense was doing against Mike Vick because I was on the otherside watch the Titans O.

Quincy Carter was in the top 13 last year out of all QBs in both passing yardage and TD's He was definitly the most capable QB on the roster. Him doing drugs is a terrible thing but no one can deny hes a solid player. I dont understand how you could be happy with the move. I would be mad if Jason Gesser got cut for doing drugs and hes the titans 3rd string QB. I'm not saying he didnt deserve his punishment but I wouldnt be happy about it.
